Please, whatever your views, get to the polls and post your ballots Tuesday.

But first, before you go, do a little research. Don't go by the TV and radio ads. Don't vote for "the cute one." Find out about the people you are thinking about casting your ballot for or against. Google them. Practice due diligence. Educate yourself. These websites are a decent starting point:

THINK FOR YOURSELF!

Same here....I'm so tired of all of the bashing!!!! I will go and vote, but it's so hard to anymore. No one ever seems to do any of the things that they promise to do. It's sad!! I feel so bad for our elderly and kids in schools!!:(

Or, since no one does what they promise anyways, don't vote.

Or vote for the other guy who promises not to do what you want.

That's why you do your homework before you go vote. Look at the records of the candidates. Then decide.

i don't want to *not* vote- that takes away my complaining rights :p

i just wish i could register my opinion as "don't like any of my options".

even the candidates that i think are the best options are so caught up in these nasty smear campaigns that it makes me not want to vote for them. i don't care about why so and so is the devil incarnate. i want to know why you're a good choice and what you're going to do to make the world better.

We need to be louder about the negative ads. Unfortunately, the negative ads produce results and it becomes a vicious circle. :(

Shame we can't discipline them for being ad-aggressive ;)

If I could vote for "none of the above" like you mentioned earlier, I would go vote...:lol-sign:

No it doesn't. By not voting you're already expressing your opinion that the candidates suck and so you have plenty of room to complain.

I hate the 'oh you didn't vote? You have no room to complain then'. Bullcrap, I have plenty of room to complain if BOTH candidates are horrible.

That's about as useful as not voting period because you know they're not going to win under our two-party system.

Stephen Colbert had the idea to vote out all the incumbents, regardless of their party. That would send a message, wouldn't it?

It would, but it's not going to happen.

And yes, as long as the general public holds to an ideal it's not going to change. But do you honestly see it changing any time soon?
