He's here and is as cute as can be. He's been a pretty good puppy so far. he hasn't chewed up anything and is very sweet. He slept through the night (cross your fingers that it stays this way!), but does have a tendency to scream when left alone. Right now he's hanging out on a leash next to me sleeping, but even though he was tired, he couldn't bring himself to fall asleep in his little area. His new owners will need to work on that so it doesn't turn into separation anxiety. We've just been waiting until he's quiet for a second before letting him out, but this is still a strange new place to him, so I'm sure he's stressed.
Smart little guy, though. He's already learned to sit. Down will come next.
He already has an application, so won't be here for long!

Now for pics.

Boo is out getting her teeth cleaned. I felt so bad leaving her there, poor thing. They had to drag her to the back room and the assistant got a little uptight about us walking back with her (I think she was new and worried about getting in trouble, because she seemed hesitant to tell us that we couldn't come, but kind of mumbled that she could handle it without us.) Of course, as soon as she went to slid the noose leash around Boo's neck, Boo sprung backward about 5 feet... :p Yet was willing to follow us back. Despite the girl trying to keep us at bay in the lobby, we brought Boo back ourselves so at least they didn't have to drag her down the whole hall, just through the door into the treatment room.

I always worry about her under anesthetic, so wish her well! And if you could send "puppy, shut up while alone" vibes, that'd be nice too! :)

haha, he's a ton of fun when he's with you and not screaming! ;) We'll see how tonight goes when Boo comes home. And I have some better pictures of him that I'll post in a bit.

Aww, thanks guys. Boo is happy to be home and her teeth are WHITE! She's settling in with the puppy, though she still plays a little rough for him. Right now, they're both sleeping by the computer chair.

And I have more pictures!

run, puppy, run!

and Boo looking rabid after playing with the puppy.

Thanks guys!

These pics were taken with a DSLR (I got it several months ago), but I was using it in auto, point and shoot mode. :) The first batch only used a 1/60 second shutter speed because they were taken before the sun was high in the sky, thus the fuzziness! But I'm getting better with it as time goes on! I've gotten quite a few that I really like, but I still get plenty of those throaway pictures. Only practice will help! Right now, I just don't have the skill to work the manual mode while keeping my puppy from eating my lens! :D

lol this is such a late reply!
oh that's good you got one! Woops, sorry i didn't realise, i just remembered you said you were using a p&s camera a few picture threads ago but it has manual settings too. I got my first dslr last august and it took some getting used, but you seem to be getting it pretty quick! some really nice shots of the foster! Although it does look like it's hard to keep up with aha, you'll probs be using a shutter like 1/1000 to catch him! haha
Anyways, looking forward to more puppy & Boo goodness :)

haha, yeah - he can be fast when he wants to! :) Then of course, he crashes. Right now, he's fast asleep.

DO you have any hints on getting nice indoor shots? I hate to use a direct flash, especially with animals (because the last thing I want is for Boo to decide that she doesn't like cameras) so usually I wait for nice light outside. Unfortunately, that means I miss some good shots!

Hmmm... indoor shots. I also find it hard to get these right, cause either I have to use a very high ISO and have my nifty fifty wide open (somewhere between f/1.7 and 2.8) so I end up with noisy photos which might not even have enough of the dog or whatever in focus! My only way of beating this is having them sit near the patio doors where's plenty of light, cause the built in flash isn't really bright enough at times, and i don't like it much either. Doesn't look great on black dogs does it?
What we need is a kickass flashgun!!

Other than that, I'm stuck with the same problem!

Toller_08 on here must know the secret, her photos of her dogs inside are beaut, and not noisy at all! I must ask if she uses a flashgun or something!
