Umm well I downloaded lots of fun brushes for photoshop.. the ones that make grass and stuff, then made oodles of layers to get everything just right.. took a pic of Dekka and turned it into a silhouette and did the same for a pic of a woman. The woman was a tiny model so I used the liquify feature in PS to put some pounds on (not enough .. but hey its a dream right? )


And thanks everyone. It felt good to make it. I can't wait for firefly season so I can sit out on the grass with Dekka on my lap. Listening to the horses munch away and watch the fireflies.

Okay I haven't drawn or sketched in a long time (today is my first attempt in years)

I'm better at drawing landscapes but here was a fun sketch I did today (its not that good so be kind)

Thanks....I'll tell you she was not an easy dog to draw. Poodles are easier but I wanted to try. And ofcourse it kind of turned out cartoonish but still cute

I love all three of those pictures! It's good to see drawings from people I've never seen draw before.

I am trying SO hard to get back into drawing. I somehow got to a point last year where it just wasn't fun anymore and had about 20 pics I needed to get done. For some reason I just couldn't draw anymore at all.

Anyways, here's one I've done and redone about 6 times. I didn't like the character design so it was hard for me. I sat down on Tues and colored for 6 hours straight and boy did my hand HURT! I'm slower than I used to be. I used to pop these things out in 2-3 hours.

The BEST part though is it's been actually FUN. I think I needed to try another simple little cartoon to get back in the swing of things. Hopefully this is the boost I needed.
Hopefully I can finish it this weekend. And now I'm realizing I have no scanner anymore.
