Do you own "The whole set" of any one author or TV shows?

I have all of Robin Hobb's books, all of Jean Auel's and Harry Potter. I was working towards Laurell K. Hamilton but her latest works are not something I'm willing to spend money on. I'm going to buy the boxed set of the first four and leave it at that.

I'm missing the last two seasons of "Buffy", that's the only show I've collected. I used to have quite a bit of the X-Files but it was all VHS.

Well, one summer I read every Agatha Christie book in chronological order. It turned out to be an interesting exercize in the history of Great Britain around the two world wars--a totally unexpected bonus.

And I have read every Jane Austen novel. And every book by several trashy romance authors (!!). And all of Conan Doyle. And...well the list goes on. I think I might be a little obsessive about these things. And all the Harry Potters of course, but then so have all of my kids.

I actually collect certain kids series ( esp. the Judy Bolton books and Walter Farley)

EDIT: That's supposed to read "own", not "know". I know a bunch of series but only OWN the ones listed above. :p

Arrested Development
Gilmore Girls
House
The Office

We bought House because when we moved into our apartment, we didn't have cable for a month, so we went to costco and bought the seasons on dvd to watch. The other three shows I just LOVE. I've watched Arrested Development at least a dozen times.

As for books? Harry Potter, Nicholas Sparks, Salinger...and Zach has just about every star wars book ever written, the nerd.

I own Friends..... twice.

I started collecting them, but Bailey was young back then, under a year and she used to chew on them. So this past christmas, my grandma got me the entire series, collectors set. I dont even use them, I use the old beat up ones, lol. The new one is on display on my entertainment center.

I own the whole Abhorsen series by Garth Nix. One of my favorites.

Another I am working on (because she hasn't finished it) is the Sea of Trolls series by Nancy Farmer.

ETA: I have all the seasons of Avatar: The Last Airbender. How sad is that? :rofl1:

I own all of the "Lost" seasons that are out so far because I started watching it in January (I started season 1 around the time season 5 started on TV). Now I have not seen any of season 5 and have to wait for that to come out. Hopefully I'll be finished watching that by the time season 6 starts on TV.

Boston, do you know when season 5 comes out?

M*A*S*H
Dead Like Me
Corner Gas
Arrested Development
Firefly (one season and the movie)
Emergency
Family Guy
*most* of Friends (I'm missing two seasons, I had to put my DVD purchases on hold for a little while)

On my list of series to get:
Buffy

Stargate SG1 and Atlantis

Books:
Harry Potter
Chronicles of Narnia
and Matt owns the Honor Harrington series.

Oh, and Matt owns the box set of every Star Trek movie.

Boston, do you know when season 5 comes out?
I don't know the exact date, but my guess is not until about Christmas. I believe that is when season 4 came out. Since the show doesn't start again until after the new year, they don't rush to get it out over the summer any more.

Hmmm... right now for books I have the entire Twilight series... lol.

In elementary/middle/high school, I used to have a ton of different complete series... I was a HUGE reader and had hundreds and hundreds of books that we sold when we moved to Florida. I had everything from the entire series (at the time) of Goosebumps by R.L. Stine, every horse fiction series imaginable, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, and I can't even think of what else. I had most of the complete series of VC Andrews books in the beginning of high school.

For DVDs, we have the complete series of The O.C. Most of the Tales From the Crypt (lol)... and I'd like to start getting the King of the Hill DVD sets because I oddly love that show.
