Yep. >.< Personal Protection training has a LOT of really awful trainers from what I've seen, too.

The funniest things I've read regarding personal protection was, "PP is French for 'I don't wanna train obedience'." LOL Scary and true from what I've seen. :(

The video is just... inexcusable.

Wow. I...don't think I've ever seen someone beat a dog like that poor brown dog was getting. I stopped it. Disgusting.

OMG WOW, that was really painful to watch and now I am upset. Good Lord those poor dogs. Thats sure a good way to install confidence in your dog.... I just don't understand some people.

Getting a dog used to guns and loud noises is VERY important to me, but we use lots of positive reinforcement and Teagan to this day is not afraid of gun shots or fireworks. We just took her hunting last weekend and probably will again this weekend. She loves it :)

My computer locked up when I tried to watch it. After reading all the comments I'm glad it did. This is why the dog training profession needs to be standardized or people need to be educated in what makes a good trainer. Anyone can call themselves a trainer.

The one brown dog in the foreground gave loads of appeasement signals when its handler merely bent down to tie is shoe. Dogs are hella stressed before the "exercise" even began. GG.

Because of the girl who posted this video bravely, ole' Warren Diffey has been reduced to only being able to do private sessions, if that. He is trying to sue the poster for slander.

I mean, why isn't there an association that bars trainers like that from offering training services to the public? Drives me nuts.

these guys are really a piece of work. I saw this vid and one other and it was a ****ing joke. A bunch of yahoos with dogs. They can tell me how real they are all they want. So are the dogs patrolling our streets right now and we didn't do anything that looks like their bullshit and call it "training".

I hope he loses all his privates and I do mean all of them literal and figurative. He deserves to and I hope someone else gets the dogs. he doesn't deserve them.

That seriously made me tear up. As soon as that girl screamed and jerked on her GSD for freaking out (and rightfully so) it was painful to watch.

I saw this on FB :(
This is so wrong, and you’d think it was obvious HOW wrong, but holy cognitive dissonance folks... There are SO many people who train dogs like this and get PAID to train dogs like this. There is one guy in my area who does exactly this sort of crap and people send him dogs all the time. There is a nationally known obedience guru who does similar crap (though she’s smart enough not to get filmed doing it) though I have seen it with my own eyes.... I WISH this were unusual, but its not. I can line up at least 10 dog people right now who would watch this and say there is nothing wrong with it. Its very discouraging...

I've yet to see anyone defend this video. I'm very happy to say. Even my collar and corrective training friends are horrified. I don't think it gets much worse.
