apparently some people can say sarcastically they are abusing their dog and give pics of their dog having a bath, but if i try to be sarcastic no one gets it. I guess no one wants more duck pictures and no one will want duckling pics since you haven't asked for any more.

LOL! Tantrum much. People often have not posted on picture threads that I have posted. Yes, the more "popular" people on the board do get more comments, but that is usually because they are more active and have relationships with the people they are posting to.

Generally you just move on.

Ditto. I never understand why people make a thread that goes "who wants to see pictures?" instead of out right posting them. They know people want to see the pictures. It's just attention whoring.

Could not agree more my man! In fact when people ask if others want to see pics I often feel like saying no. Just post the flippin things!

Yeah, I often wonder that, because then you have either 2 threads for one topic, or a ton of posts BEFORE the pics, and to be honest, I just like looking at the pictures LOL

Exactly... same here. I was getting a little annoyed with the "I have pics but won't post them til 2 weeks from now" plague... It's just not my thing

So, you post a thread and want immediate posts. It doesn't happen like that. You post a thread and want everyone to post on it. It doesn't happen like that. You post a thread and want people to demand pictures of ducks. It doesn't happen like that, just show the pictures of the ducks so people can ooh and aah or whatever the heck it is that they want to do and move on. And if being "cliquey" means not having to deal with an attitude like yours, then so be it. Pull up your big girl panties and post the actual pictures, don't expect similar results from another thread that has NOTHING to do with your own. Now.. where are the darn pictures?

Personally I don't read all the threads, and it depends on the topic if I will, not who wrote them.

About pictures, I love seeing them, but I usually don't bother to post, if it's just to say 'they're cute'.

So, keep posting those pics

Yeah I just don't have the time to post on threads very often. I sure wish I did have more time to respond to everyones adorable pics of pets and whatever else. Rest assured I am constantly looking at everyones pictures but if I responded to even half of them I would never have time to see all of the pics.

Plus there's no reason to respond as the 20th person to say "how cute" or "they're handsome" or whatever other generic replies there are. I usually only respond if something about a picture itself strikes me as interesting/humerus.

every internet forum I have ever visited is... it is the way it is on the internet.

its no ones fault it is just the nature of things.

that being said... if you feel like a thread has been neglected and you are unhappy about it, bump it up once and assume people missed it.
