Canidae and every other day I put fish oil in his food. I also gave up on buying treats and recently started making them myself. Store bought treats used to give him the runs. I started giving him homemade treats and he hasn't had one case of the runs since:)

Nature's Select. It has the most meat meal I have found in any food, and they have free delivery to your home.

Looks just like Canidae
Nature's Select:
Ingredients: Chicken Meal, Turkey Meal, White Rice, Brown Rice, Lamb Meal, Chicken Fat (Though it does have Menadione Sodium Bisulfite (Vitamin K) which Canidae doesn't)

Canidae:
All Natural Ingredients

Eve is raw fed. Dash is currently on Innova, Dakota is on EVO and Buddy is on California Natural, switching over to raw. When I get back home I'm going to incorporate raw into Dash and Dakota's diets, too.

Our lot are all mainly raw food, but occasionally we'll cook up pet mince, pasta, vegies and stuff and Sophie and Mac get biscuits with their bones as Mac burns it off and Sophie is loosing weight faster then we can get it on her. The boys rarley get biscuits but on occasion yes.

They bones they eat include
chicken necks
chicken thighs
chicken wings
chicken frames
lamb offcuts
beef soup bones

that makes up about 80% of their diet

We just switched Strider to Canidae ALS. He was getting Kirkland adult lamb and rice since that's what his breeder was giving him, but we got it switched over now. Since we've had him we have supplemented his kibble with a bit of either raw beef, chicken, or turkey every day since lamb doesn't have enough taurine/carnitine for puppy muscle development. I feel a lot better about the Canidae having all those different protein sources. We also give him yogurt and raw eggs once in a while.

About 75% Home cooked, Canidae ALS the other 25%.

The base of the home cooked meal is a mix of 40% meat (chicken OR beef OR fish) 10% organ meat (normally livers/gizzards) 25% veggies (including sweet potatoes) and 25% rice or oatmeal. I include powdered egg shells for calcium and they normally get bone at least 1-2 times a week, and garlic for natural flea control. I don't use a bunch of suppliments as they don't seem to need them. They look sleek and shiney, good clean teeth, and NO fleas (without using any prescriptions or over the counter poisons!) LOL

Mixture of kibble and raw as a suppliment. Kibble is on rotation, though I think my rotation is a little different than most people's. She always gets the same thing in the morning, and then differing things in the evening. Currently:

Morning: Solid Gold Wolf Cub
Evening: Merrick Puppy Plate, Wellness super 5 puppy, Eagle pack holistic (the fish flavor), Innova puppy, and Praire (venison).

When the big bag of breakfast food is empty, I shift something else into that position.

I'm currently feeding a mix of Royal Canin, Orijen and Eagle Pack Holistic (Chicken), but eventually he will only get EP Holistic. I'll have to find some other food he will eat than EP to rotate with cause right now he is not happy about RC and Orijen.

Thanks Barb.I had forgotten about the Canidae.I did try to feed it a while ago, but by dogs did not eat it very well.
I love the Nature's Select. I also like dealing with a person that sells only one food, and keeps up on it.
I live around Atlanta, and food is expensive here.
I could not ask for nicer folks to deal with than my supplier.

you may not believe this..but I cannot find a quality food, except Innova (which is what my pups get) anywhere. there is ONE feed store that carries Innova..and they know us..LOL (they ran out last week..and hubby was there everyday til it came in. they call him 'Innova Guy' now) no pet stores, no PetCo..nothing carries any quality food in a 200 mile radius. we travel 60 miles to that one feed store to get the Innova. WHY DOESN'T ANYONE CARRY A QUALITY FOOD????????? and I also add raw ground turkey. they happen to just love it, and it's only a buck a pound. no more chicken wings..NO MORE bones of any kind. Addie didn't seem to chew them well enough.......and I had a real scare. the ground turkey and a little water seems to make the Innova ok...cause truth be told.......they don't seem to be impressed with it at all.

Both get Canidae ALS with some supplements like raw eggs every once in a while. I want to incorporate some raw.

I feed my three Eagle Pack Holistic Select Duck & Oatmeal...Plus Springtime Fresh Factors & Joint Health suppliments. I give Flaxseed oil caps, plain yogurt, eggs and some raw meat. Premium canned and cooked hamburg added to their kibble. And they love raw fruits and veggies. I have one that is allergic to chicken and wheat so their treats are also premium.
