They're on Victor Grain Free dog food, and they've been on a few of the other varieties as well. Jones eats about four to four and a half cups a day, and we go through about a bag of food every three weeks or so.

But really, they'll eat anything grain free.

OK, for food for 6 months, we're probably looking at $400 for 6 months. Flea and heartworm meds are about $150. For Jones.

From my understanding, especially if we can get flea/heartworm meds, it would help a ton. Thats their bigfest expense. The food was a guesstimate, as that's the amount that ALL the dogs would eat for 6 months. Jones probably eats about half of that.

How do you want us to work out sending our donations? Like via PayPal or do you want us to order the food online and have it shipped to you or something else?

Think it would make the most sense to price shop and find the cheapest way to order food/meds shipped straight to their house. It's going to be more cost effective to purchase a few large bags vs. everyone buying a small bag.

I'll totally donate when I can! Also, I have a good contact and will ask them about a dog food donation!

This was my thought. Also, that way people can donate a small amount, rather than having to commit to a bag of food or whatever.

aha! yes. He uses the 51-100lb Heartgard.
Sweet! I'm shipping some stuff to her tomorrow anyway, so I'll stuff a box of heartgard in there.

I think I have 2 or 3 doses of Certifect, but I have to find them. I can throw in a couple doses of Frontline and/or Advantix, too, and maybe a Revolution. I'm pretty sure I can come up with 6 months worth of flea stuff. I have a stockpile from working at the clinic, and it doesn't last forever.

Okay, I have 2 Certifect, 2 Frontline, 2 Advantix, all of which are fresh. I also have 3 expired Revolution that I'll send, and you can use them if you want, CD, or toss them, or pass them on, whatever you feel comfortable with.

You guys are all amazing, and you all rock.

If someone wants to (please, please do not feel obligated to) give money or whatever, I'm asking JessLough to handle that. I feel less guilty that way, lol, and that way you all know I'm not just going to run out with it or anything.

She also has my address, and you can contact me on FB for it if you want to as well.

Thank all of you so incredibly much.

Quick Update!:

It looks like we basically have flea/heartworm meds covered. Which leaves some food.

There is a bag of food that has been ordered, and will be delivered this week. I know somebody else has plans to send more food, as well.

Monetary Donations: If you wish to make a monetary donation, to go towards Jones' expenses/food, I'll be taking donations via PayPal, which I will then make a bulk order to be delivered to Kim's house in a few weeks (will be sent for when she needs it next, to give those who wish to donate time). Unless I find something for a better price, it's looking like TOTW will be the most cost-effective option. PM me for email.

Thanks, guys!

ETA: HA. Kim beat me to it. ;)

needlenose by CharlieDogist, on Flickr

Here is a picture of the needlenose himself. He says thank you as well! (Really, he just wants you all to be jealous of his totally perfect ears. Also, he says his nose is dignified, and not all that pointy. (I beg to differ with him on that)
