I just read who he picked. I've never even heard of her before! Off to do some research now I guess.

Hmm. I dunno. To me, it seems almost a blatant attempt to pick up all those "Hillary votes".

that too...but he's been so adamant about lack of experience...hmm...
They mentioned Kay Bailey Hutchinson here from Dallas on our news last night being a possibility, she's a lady with tons of experience...

It's just...quizzical...

On second thought, the entire function of the VP in modern campaigning is to pick up the votes that the presidential candidate is lacking. So I really shouldn't be surprised.

Sarah Palin is a AWESOME choice. Never in a million years would I think he would actually pick her. Why? It makes too much sense.

Learn about her before you assume too much. This woman can take care of herself. I simply cannot wait to watch the VP debate now. She is going to mop the floor with Biden. LOL

Also, McBush's VP pick IS very important, for more reasons than just getting votes. He has one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel. LOL It is quite possible, should he be elected, that Palin will be the first female POTUS.

Granted, she IS inexperienced... But the two things I LOVE about this woman.. A) She has called out Republicans in the past, multiple times, for being corrupt and B) she is a lifetime member of the NRA. Her family is squared away, she has a son in the military and about to go to Iraq (thus removing the, 'you would not do this if your kid'...)...

Oh yeah.... GREAT pick. Now it gets fun. LOL

If you look at the tickets now - assuming they remain as advertised - they are a mirror iimage of each other.

Showing us, once again, that there is no appreciable difference between the two sides of the aisle - they are both going to screw us without so much as a kiss, roll us and take our money and our rights. The only difference that's going to show is which hyenas they let pick the carcass.

Always so positive. LOL

I agree, for the most part. But Sarah Palin gives me a glimmer of hope. She is a chance to get a fresh, non-DC mind into the mix.

Well, this is a interesting twist. I almost wish Blue was still around, this is his mayor after all. We'd get the inside scoop.

I watched Obama last night and for once didn't feel like throwing up. I will watch McCain out of duty for wanting both sides to the story and now I'm really looking forward to the VP debates. I wonder if McCain was really savvy enough to come up with this on his own, or if he has a pretty shrewd campaign manager hiding somewhere. She's young, she's pretty, she's got the quasi-badass label of living in Alaska, which of course means that she wrestles bears on a regular basis. ;)

I agree, let the games begin.

I like her alot...I think I like her more than McCain.

As far as experience...I tend to think there is a difference between congressional experience and Executive experience...from my perspective in the congress you dont really do a whole lot of leading...you make decisions, yes...but one decisions is only a small piece of the whole group...Executive experience is more leadership experience in my mind. One person has to make the decisions on their own. McCain doesnt have executive experience, but the military experience does tend to add that general idea of leadership.
