Wow, thank goodness you found it. I have never heard of it.
Personally, I think anything that will cause you to "trip" is playing with fire. I know a guy who did so much acid while he was in school at Knoxville, that he can't even go back to the CITY bc it really messes him up. You don't really know the effects of any of that stuff. Just bc it works for one person, well, everyone's chemical make-up is different so you have no idea what it will do to your body. It is actually pretty scary if you really think about it. The same goes for stuff like ecstacy. You have no idea how your body is going to react to such substances, and once you take it, there is no going back. People spend so much time researching the food that goes in their bodies, and never stop to research any legal drugs they put in, much less illegal drugs they use.

salvia is a commonly grown herb related to sage. i grow it in my garden for ritual use (im pagan)
what we MUST understand that almost EVERY plant in your garden can be rolled and smoked or steeped to make a liquid and used for some kind of "drug like" side effect.
foxgloves = belladonna.
your angles trumpet vines can be used and have similar hallucinagenic properties, hydrangea flowers when sttepd can cause some people a very bad trip, as can clematis flowers, the leasves and flowers of buddleiah can cause a numbing floating effect, and wysteria flowers have been known to cause "trip like" effects when used to make a tea.
the list goes on and on.
even your commonly used herbs when misused can cuase fomr very strange side effects, smoke regular sage and youll get numb and tingly and sometimes even hallucinate...
so by making salvia (a gorgeous plant with soft silver leaves and deep purple flowers can grow wild in northen USA) illegal because of some stupid kids using it as a hallucanagen will eventually lead to the banning of all our garden plants.
and gods help the herbalists and pagans out there who grow most of these plants in their garden for "magical" and "healing" properties...
what does need to happen is education on the dangers of these things.
for that note MOST salvia users stop using after a couple of hits because the effect is 99% of the time very light and short lived, it also leaves a bitter burning taste (even when diluted) whihc isnt pleasent and can last hours.
the effects are simply not strong enough for the most part to "hook" kids on it. and those who are sensitive to the effects, salvia usually leaves them on a bad trip so they tend not to multiple use.
i do understand the concern however and i think people should be aware of it being used as a rec drug and educate their children.

I try to put as little artificial stuff in my body.
On that note, i KNOW salvia and pot arent artificial...i also do NOT think they should be banned. I very much believe in self control. I tried pot once, didnt think it was something worth paying for, and never did it again.
Just cause i dont think things should be banned doesnt mean i think people should be taking them. I very much disagree with people who are constantly popping tylenol and advil at the slightest amount of pain, but there is no way in heck i think it should be banned.
Puppydog...if you can control it than good for you seriously. The fact of the matter though, if you get CAUGHT, you could risk everything...that is more so what i meant. To me, whether or not i agree with the laws is irrelevant here, the legal consequences arent worth risking. now do i drink underage...yes...lol

If you're smart, you don't get caught.
Just wanted to add the reason it's legal here and why you can buy it in stores in liquid form is because it has no harsh long term effects that have been proven. It gives you about a 10-20 min intense trip and then is completely gone from your system. I've never tried it but have a few friends who do.
