Annabelle, my Rottweiler who had osteosarcoma, suffered a ruptured tumor in her abdomen last night. We didn't know that she had such tumor. We rushed her to the ER vet clinic where she underwent emergency surgery. Subsequent examination revealed a mass on her liver and two masses in her left hind leg (she'd already had a foreleg amputated and lymph nodes removed to try and contain the cancer). I couldn't think straight last night and I was determined to give her a fighting chance as she did so much better than ever expected after the initial discovery of the cancer, but she died a little after 2:30 this morning. They called me asking if I was them to try and resuscitate, but I opted just to let her pass on free of pain.
I can't believe I've lost another dog. I feel like all my dogs are leaving me these days (all my dogs are middle age and older now). And today is Carson's birthday. It's so hard for me to be in a good mood right now...I feel like a horrible mommy.
