((hugs)) that is so sad, my heart goes out to you. You are a fantastic Mom, you share your love and empathy for animals with your children, that is worth far more than a few extra smiles on a B-day he won't remember as he grows up. He will grow up remembering and learning compassion and understanding for other creatures.
This. ^^^

I'm so sorry, Mia. :(

Awwww....you are a wonderful Mom. How could anyone do better? Cancer is the most incidious, sneaky, stealthy disease ever. To think you or anyone should have super-human abilities over cancer's power is unreasonable. You have shown me nothing over these years but compassion and conscientiousness about your charges. I'm just so very sorry for your loss. You have been through more than your fair share of heart ache. It was best at that point, to let her go free and not try to do more, which would only make her more miserable. She is free from that hateful disease now. You can be peaceful now too, that she is at rest. (((((HUGS)))))

Exactly. :)

The gifts you give your children run deeper than giggles and cake, Staci.

Carry greetings to Mia, Ripken, Jazz and all of the Family . . .
