Over the weekend we took Ruger to the IABCA 2009 Winter Sieger Show in Enumclaw Wa. In class of 4 Open males, Ruger went 1st and BOB in show #2 and 2nd in shows #1, 3, and 4. He received 4 V-1 ratings to earn his UCI International Champion title.

Here is the critique from his BOB win:
very nice representation, typy, masculine, and well built, good coat, wonderful texture, typy masculine head, fits body correct bite with dark pigmentation, dark expressive eyes, well set and shaped, well set ears, correct for head, well developed chest, strong front with good bone, nice rear angulation, solid and muscular, correct firm topline, typical docked tail, correctly set, ground covering movement, clean coming and going

We are so pleased with this young man. He is turning into quite the handsome fellow. His next show will be the Seattle Kennel Club on March 7th and 8th. Sorry, no pictures. The show was not very well organized and ran very long, so I didn't stay around for photos.

Congratulations! If I remember right Red there bred Ruger (same litter as Milton and Mike I think - I wasn't a member here when they were born so don't lynch me if I"m wrong lol)

Looks like those boys are kicking some ass and taking names...I'd be proud too!

Yes, Ma'am, he is. BMR trusted me to pick him for her sight unseen. She got him at a little over 9 weeks old.

Our original co-own agreement had me co-owning him until his health testing was finished. However, BMR's performance as an owner has so far exceeded my expectations, that I have already signed the dog over to her on full ownership.

I expect he will complete his AKC CH title with ease over the next year or so, along with several of his littermates.

:D

Congratulations BMR and Redyre!

There is an IABCA show coming to my area in a couple weeks and I am thinking about going. They sound like fun. :)

Yodel, I very much enjoy being able to show in different venues. With the IABCA shows, they hire AKC, CKC, and FCI certified judges, and you receive a written critique. It is nice to hear why your dog was placed the way it was. In AKC and CKC shows you never get that and quite a few times I have completely not understood why this dog or that dog was placed, etc.

The title itself is easy to obtain, but it is the critiques that I value.

Make sure you check the IABCA website, because they are no longer accepting same day entries and have closing dates.

Big Congrats! That is an awesome accomplishment, both you and Red must be extremely proud of this gorgeous boy! :)

Oh and Red...posting Baby Ruger pics really should come with a cuteness overload warning. :D
