Post of the Week

And the award for My Favorite Post of the Week goes to . . . . :D

Buddy's Parents is one of the most effective Peace Keepers on this board, but there comes a time when there comes a time.

Every once in awhile somebody with a really high opinion of him or herself that few others around him or her share comes on this board on a bulldozer and all impressed with herself, spreading his or her own delusionally perceived superiority everywhere. Sprinkled within these little pearls of self-approved wisdom are insults that are so offensive that only the most knuckleheaded, undeserving egomanic would not even notice he or she is dropping them like so many foul turds from the sky. Once in awhile there are people who are dumped into the world who are complete A Holes and the only people who don't notice are themselves. When this happens, and thank GOD it's rare, even someone like Buddy's Parents cannot endure.

So, because I used the phrase "someone who has deep compassion for animals" instead of saying "vegan/animal activist" it caused a stir? You've got to be kidding. Sorry, but that to me is nitpicking, and it is really not worth any time because no matter what I say, it will most likely be dismissed (I've seen it happen a few times before on this forum). And if you think I was insinuating anything else, well, I'm sorry that you feel that way.

To anyone who feels I was rude in any way, or insulting (funny, I wasn't ever insulted when people called animal activists morons, nutcases, crazy...etc...) that was not my intention at all, and if my saying that isn't enough, then I'm sorry.

ToscasMom--That's quite lovely indeed. Why exactly do I appear as though I think that I am 'superior' simply by expressing thoughts that are of a different view from (most) others? This thread has bounced around quite a bit, but alot of it was about how horrible animal activists are (referred to as hypocrites, terrorists, morons....etc)---all that I've done was express views from an activists perspective, I'd never once used a derogatory term towards anyone, and that makes me come off as being "delusionally superior"? Geesh...

That's all you had to say? I'm disappointed. ETA: I should point out that I'm disappointed because you had me out for the worst kind of human being. I mean, I was looking to walk the plank. But maybe, just maaaybe, you'e learned that you're not so perfect either?

I mean, it took you two hours to say this and it doesn't even really require any kind of a reply.

Oh well, I guess I'll third the favorite post of the week and quote ToscasMom

Seriously, what is it that you're trying to accomplish here? You're truly behaving like an immature child. Most of this thread was quite polite and there were some points where people were actually having good, civil discussions. Why you are seemingly trying to disrupt it and obviously trying to ignite an argument? Really, this is uncalled for especially from a so called Mod.

Actually, I thought I would just live up to your expectations. :D

Now the thread is polite? When you were crying wolf a couple posts back?

And I had said that this thread was going quite well until YOU made insinuations.

And it's uncalled for... how? Because you don't like to be treated like you treat others? Mercy...lessons are being taught here!

Glad you have your five bucks. Consider it stolen. :D

Got any insight on that London Broil I told you about? It's looking to be cooked pretty soon...

PETA is sick.

Factory farms are sick.

Meat can be tasty.

Veggies can be tasty.

I love fur...on my pets. Dead fur isn't near as fun to fondle as living fur...hence the reason we have "pets" and not "pelts" eating up all of our disposable income.

I'm assuming that's wine or something like it.. I don't drink, nor can I, really.
Yes it surely is. What you can do is just invite me and I'll drink it. I'll have one glass and you can give the rest to Renee.:p

...running and hiding now..

Mad'smom... you are such a martyr. YOU are just as guilty as anyone else. Let's not split hairs here. After being told I am getting dumber by eating meat I certainly figured we weren't sparing feelings here. I say if your gloves come off it is onlly fair for others to remove theirs ;)
