This sucks! My Mom tells everyone how much her little, precious (she babies me) Jose` never complains about anything. Well, let me tell you this. I have good reason to complain now. My Mom is taking me in the morning to the vet. She's tried to hide this fact from me, but I heard her on the phone. Just because I have this lump on my front leg, she thinks it should be removed. It's been there for some time and has not caused me any pain or trouble. It's probably just some fluid filled cyst or lipoma. But she says it could morph into something worse.

So...errrr.... I hate this....having to wake up and all drowsy and all of a sudden, there's going to be some bandage thing on my leg that will drive me nuts. Then the witch will make me lie still a lot and it will get boring for days. There's a small chance that it might only require draining. I don't know because since we live so far, we're making this into one appointment...to find out for sure what it is and then if needed to do the surgery. So, at least there won't be a million trips to the vet. Whew! Well....wish me well that the quack doesn't over do it with the stuff that makes me go to sleep. :eek:Arrrrrrgggggg. I really don't like this. :(

Don't worry, Jose'. The vet's going to take extra-special good care of you, and maybe you won't even need the drowsy stuff. Your mama just wants the best for you, you know. She loves you lots.

LOL Renee! I have 1 hour before I have to take him. Gotta have that coffee and a little Chaz vist, then off we go.Thanks you guys for the vibes for little Boo boo. He appreciates it and so do I. He may have trouble pulling up his big boy boxers, but I guarantee you, he will milk it for all it's worth. LOL.

Thank you Laura. Yes, they are. Poor Jose` was nervous at the vet's. He's more timid than Chulita, who would probably look at it as if it were a party. So, of course, I was taken completely in by all that. I will have to drive back all the way to town (40 minute drive one way) late in the afternoon. Ugg. The gas! There just wasn't anything to do that would take up 6 hours so I just came home. Plus, I had left Chulita at home and she's probably prefer some company since her bro is gone. Anyhow, he's going to have his teeth cleaned while he's at it...cheaper since he'll already be knocked out. Thanks for the good luck wishes. I hope everything turns out okay too. It's always a little worrisome.

I am sure he will be a-okay!

His teeth will be sparkling clean, and that worrisome lump will be gone. ;)

Thanks so much! He's okay. But he was is some harsh pain when I picked him up. He just shook violently and cried quietly in the back of the car. When we got home, he got some Rimadyl and that seemed to fix him up a little bit. It's such a hassle to keep him from jumping off furniture. I have to take him with me if I go out of the living room. LOL. Plus, if he messes with his stiches, he's going to have to have that big collar thing put back on. He never used one before and didn't think too highly of that. I took it off but am watching him closely. And he is indeed getting lots of extra attention....looks pretty miserable, even now.

Anyhow, it was just a benign lipoma and his teeth are sparkling. Now, Chulita needs her teeth done too. Ugggg. Vet bills. Should have married a vet.

So glad to hear it's benign! And that your ordeal is over.

That might be from the anesthesia. Bailey was pretty stressed out for the rest of the day after his procedure (and totally freaked out immediately after). Hope he's feeling better today. :)

Thanks Bailey. Yes, that shaking could be the anesthesia for sure. But even this morning, he's quite sad looking. But he'll get better. He's so cute. A few times, he started to mess with his incision and I'd tell him, "leave it." And a few times, I gave him a little homemade treat I just made. Now he will occassionally put his nose down on his incision, but not lick, then look up at me with these sad, brown eyes. LOL. So, so far, he's leaving his ouie alone. I think that Elizabethan collar would about put me over the edge...I'd feel so sorry for him. LOL.

Thanks! I am definitely glad we got that taken care of.

Glad he is doing good.

Hahaha, that is so funny about him pretending to "mess with" the stitches just so he can have a treat. :)
