looking for a simple, nice leather show lead

I'm getting frustrated trying to find online a simple leather show lead. I think I want a slip lead. But all the places I've found just don't quite work. They either don't respond to emails, don't return phone calls, their web sites don't give you the option to choose things they say I can choose (like nickel or brass hardware).

Does anyone know of a place they've dealt with and like for such a thing?

Have you attended any local shows? The vendors there usually carry leads and collars etc. Sometimes they are able to do custom work too. Where are you located? Someone might be able to suggest something that way.

You might want to talk to Ren (OC_Spirit). She makes GREAT leather leads. I have 4 from her. 2 traffic leads, and a reddish one for Lizzie, then a regular thin one for Blaze.

I got Ronin's sow lead from Steve Guitron. The braiding is VERY smooth, no rough edges that stick up and chafe your hand.

Yeah, I never use leather in the Breed ring. Only a Resco loop! With a nylon collar.

This place is wonderful, and got back to my questions right away. I only have a collar, but it is really nice. I am just chomping at the bit for a leash!

I've actually got a leash from Leashes By Lyndale - VERY nice work, but after using both in multiple shows... I much prefer my lead from Steve.

But the leash I used most was a cheapo Resco Cordahyde leash... I don't know where it's at right now, but I just loved that show lead.

Eddie, sure you can PM me wat you are looking for. Once the idea has been resolved for the leash I try and get it mailed out within two weeks. You'll have a heads up if it is going to be any longer than that (sometimes there is a delay from where I get my leather).

Sizzle, I never have made a show lead but I'd be willing to try! Just give me an idea of what you are looking for and we can go from there...
