I know, for me, I dont care what it is, but I want the truth NO MATTER WHAT, and I dont care what a person does, and long as they tell me the truth, good or bad..

but I guess apparently the truth isnt good enough, and people do want lies told to them

if people want the truth so bad and dont want people to lie to them, why get all bent outta shape about something when I tell you the truth...

*sigh*

Sometimes I dont know why I even bother....

My SIL is the same way, and I love her for it:D

For her, tell her the truth no matter what, and she'll give you the same courtesy.

I was always told to tell the truth, so I try my best too, but hell people always scream about telling the truth, when in fact they really dont want it, they want little white lies...

Not to me. If I ask something, I want the truth. Give it to me straight or I wouldn't have even asked. I don't have to agree with your answer, I don't even have to like it.........but I DO appreciate the truth and different point of views :)

Could be the main reason I don't ask Kevin if certain things make me look fat :rofl1:

nope many people don't want the real truth. They want to be told nice things and believe its the 'truth'.

Then when they get someone who is painfully honest (I suck at interviews for this reason) they don't know how to handle it.

No really you cant, cause then it turns to beating around the bush, and then you end up not really wanting to say it, and ya dont...(for me anyway)

so brutally honest is the way to go (for me)

true.....

There was one time someone asked me something out of the blue. I was so shocked I answered honestly without filtering what I was saying through my brain first (something I almost always do ... I do mean to say what I say if you get what I mean) It was brutally honest. Our friendship was strained for a while over it.

Agreed. I always want the truth, but the delivery of the truth says a lot about the person telling it and the relationship between the two people ( if it's someone you love and care for, you will want to be as gentle as possible- no one wants to hurt anyone intentionally).

I also think a lot of it has to do with the person that is requesting the truth be strong enough to receive it. Because sometimes no matter how gently the truth is told, it can be very hurtful and if the person delivering it is a banshee with PMS it will do nothing but hurt.

And, well, being told the truth is another way we grow. :)

yeah well... I would think that someone would be happy that there was someone actually willing to tell the truth, but I guess not..

cause Im not going to pussy foot around the truth for anyone, sorry...

Of course people would be happy, well, MOST, I would think, I don't know of anyone that wouldn't want the truth... but the delivery is important. I would never want to intentionally hurt anyone... would you?

What delivery? its opening up your mouth and just saying the truth.. and if people cant deal with that, maybe they should think twice about asking for it...:) I dont think Im brutal about it, I just open my mouth and say it...
