It's OK Puck.

If you knew my family background you would know why it's such a huge insult.

No we're not from Germany

Bah!!! LOL It's easy to do.

Like this thread was not derailed already? I would be afraid to post in public if I was you too. ;) (VERY tounge in cheek and a BLATANT atempt to goad you on.)

I am feeling, feisty, today. :)

It's no so much the fragments as the LONG run on paragraphs with 5 different topics in them. It might just be me though. Help my poor little brain understand you. LOL

Dreeza - I dont want to get into it. But it is.

why not? Are you talking about your PERSONAL family, or scottish/irish? If it is your personal family and you dont want to get into it, then in the future, try not to make a comment that will spark people's curiosity! hehe

Ive got $10 on Orion sptting his morning coffee out his nose.
I'd say he's given up, mopped up the coffee, and has decided to continue this conversation with Misha . . . ;)

But, to answer your original query, Orion . . . that feeling seems to be pretty universal. Look at Iraq, Iran, the Hutus and the Tsutse and so many other countries in Africa, and look at the Red states vs. the Blue states here after the 2004 elections!

It's personal.

Weather it's personal or not, blue should NOT have said something like that on a public forum. Someone is bound the be upset by that comment

If folks on Chaz disagree and become nasty, how can we NOT expect different countries not to do this amongst themselves and against other nations.?

Watch it Blue!! Thats going FAR over the line. You had NO right to say that.
Taken in the context it was writen I absolutly had a right to say it, it was in response to it being OK to generalize about a population.

On edit(second time), I do appologize I do not know your family history to realize I acted in an insulting fashion.

Sorry, but that is not a good enough reason to not say something.

Have enough courage of your conviction to make your side of the discussion stand on its own.

Fight the content of the discussion, not the style.

Despite the fact that he probably couldn't pour water out of a boot with instructions on the heel, there really isn't anything wrong with what Blue said...he's from Alaska, which makes him a United States citizen (or I have to assume he is based on his given location). See, one of the greatest things about being American is that we can openly believe whatever we want about whoever we want without fear of prosecution. In turn, we will happily accept whatever you want to believe about whoever you wish to target. It's a great concept.

I'm suddenly reminded of how often I get asked by Canadians what kind of horse I have...

Than you should be happy somebody other than myself and my crew did the electrical in your housing.

Edit... I did spend quite abit of time trying to figure if I should bash Texas or Canada in this post, both seemed to easy in the end so I gave up and posted the above abreviated post. Feel free to correct my spelling and grammer.
