My boyfriend let our husky Vlad out in the yard this morning. We have a short fence so we always keep an eye on him. He was running around in the snow, which he loves, and a woman walked by. He walked towards her and she screamed and ran away. Full on ran away.

Apparently she returned a while later and lingered a while outside the fence while a young man came to our door and told us we had a Wolf in our yard. He then petted our husky and apologized.

People are insane. How could you be afraid of this face!

haha... thats actually very funny.

I guess if you dont know anything about different breeds you could be scared. Not everyone is educated on animals and all the different breeds there are.

Though regardless the worst thing you could do when faced with any animal is turn and full-on run away! Way to turn yourself in to fleeing prey and activate a predator's prey drive!

Bahaha that's kind of funny and kind of sad. He's beautiful, btw.

My jack russell terrier has been called a daschund before (actually the term used was 'wiener dog' and this was at a dog event!) and my bearded dragon? "omg she has an alligator".

I also got (in reference to the bearded) "whoaaaa, a baby dinosaur!" That was from a 4 year old, though.

I'd be concerned as to how someone just walks into your yard with the dog to come knockin' on your door. I'd get a lock. ;)

EDIT: It did just occur to me that the dog might've been inside by then.

He was inside, as soon as the lady ran away my bf called Vlad and he came a running like a good boy. That's why we never leave him outside unattended, the fence is only 4' and there's no lock. (It's a rental.)

Isn't that photo hilarious? He just sat there for 10 minutes, trying to jedi mind trick us into giving him the pizza. (He has a very sensetive stomach though, so we didn't give it to him.)

lol the poor uneducated!!! at least some have the right intentions with their concern.
I had a woman come into the farm supply store that I was managing a few years all upset wanting to use the phone........she wanted to call the Humane Society about some horses out on pasture with blindfolds on. I suspected what was going on, but asked her where she saw this. It was just out of town and they were my horses. I went and got a flymask, opened it up and showed her what it was and why.........boy did she feel stupid lol, no harm done even if she had called.

Too funny.
