I'm always seeing Laurelin's pap brigade in the tub, and if got me wondering how often everyone washes their dogs.

I actually decided to bathe our dogs today after not having baths in I don't even remember how long. I got soaked, but they are both so soft now :D

Ours get bathed about once a month. They don't always NEED it but they sleep in bed with me and such so I like bathing them more often than not.

And yes, they are sooo soft afterwards!

Once a month I do a full groom on them. Then I slack the rest of the month. :lol-sign:

Strider is bathed weekly because he's a service dog and must smell pretty. It also keeps his dander down in case we're standing around someone with severe dog allergies.

Kaia is once or twice a month, depends on whether she's blowing coat or not and how filthy she manages to get.

Simple answer? Never. Bandit is only ever hosed off if he jumps int he ditch and gets grotty and even then I never use shampoo on him.

In the summer, Jackson is bathed once a week. In the winter, it's usually every other week, sometimes a bit longer. But he's a Yorkie with hair and not regular dog fur, so that does make a difference.

I try to bathe them roughly every 4-5 weeks. I find Ripley gets kind of icky sooner than that though, so he's bathed more like once every couple of weeks. I can't stand for him to go longer than that without a bath, and I can't stand for the girls to go any longer than 6 weeks without a bath. They might not smell or look dirty, but I like knowing for sure that they're clean.

every 2-4weeks here. Quinn usually more often because she's such a dude and loves to get filthy. Buster is more of a priss and wants to stay clean.

Ivan gets a bath every 3 to 4 months, Unless we are doing alot of showing then its usually once a month(right before the show). Peewee gets a bath twice a year. Simply because he is a PIA to get into the tub.

Generally about every 3-4 weeks, sometimes more for Millie, since I can't and shouldn't bring a dirty, smelly dog around with me when she's working.
I use Mango Tango Earthbath and I loooove it. I grope my dogs after I use it. They're so soft and smell so good.

About every 3-4 weeks in the winter and 2-3 weeks in the summer. In the summer she plays with 10-15 dogs outside almost daily and she gets dirty really quickly. I can't stand the feel of dogs' fur after a month of not bathing though. It feels weird to my hands.

Our other 2 get weekly or every 2 week baths because they are around little kids a lot and the kids sometimes get the dogs in their mouths. Don't want the kiddies getting sick.

Lucy about every 3-4 weeks. She gets groomed every 6 or 8 weeks, and we usually give her a bath between grooming appts.

Juno... meh, whenever I feel like it. Usually only when she's dirty, or when I feel like it's been too long since her last bath. She doesn't really get bathed in the winter, but they happen more frequently in the summer due to jumping in dirty ponds, getting slimed at the dog park, or running through a mud pit.

LMAO. I use the same stuff, and when they're clean, I can't stop petting them, so I guess that's a small consolation for having to put up with a bath, and, in Enzo's case, the force air dryer. :p

Yeah Roman only really gets hosed if he jumped in stagnant water. If water wont' do the trick he gets shampoo'd.

In the summer I try to wash her every month or two. She gets a bath after playing in puddles too, as long as it isn't cold.

This is our first winter, and it's been too cold for me to wash her so far. She doesn't really need it but her feet are getting the Fritos smell, so I hope we have a warm day soon! My mom won't let me wash her in our shower so I attatch a garden hose to the laundry room sink (so I can use warm water, not ice cold like the outdoor faucet) and run it out onto our back porch where I wash her. It actually works better than the shower would. No tub.

Then I dry her as much as possible with a towel and we take a walk until she is mostly dry. I tried a dryer and she is too scared of it. She will not take treats with the hair dryer on, so it's not worth her being so scared.

Gavroche used to get bathed once a week, but it's down to about every 4 to 6 weeks now. He's not a dirty dog at all, really. At least not anymore, since he stopped peeing on his legs lol.

Logan gets a bath about once a month for the time being, but when he starts working that will become more frequent. I do a lot of spot-cleaning on him with waterless shampoo, too.

Enzo gets a bath every two weeks or so now that she comes to work at a doggie daycare with me. Any longer and she smells like a kennel.

Ozzy gets a bath once every other month or so, unless he gets in something dirty.

**** straight. That stuff is magical. No wonder they hate baths. Afterward food lady goes crazy and starts ceaselessly feeling them up and sniffing them. "Oh, you want to take a nap? NOOOOOOOO! I rubs your softnesssss!"

Whenever they roll in something smelly, smell bad in general or I'm bored and decide they haven't had a bath in too long.

In Taz's case that can sometimes be once a week
