As some of you know, I've been having issues with my apartment complex lately and the way they think they can keep screwing me over for more money each month. Well I got sick of that real quick, went and got a copy of my lease and did some digging. And guess what I turned up? They've been OVERCHARGING me almost $30 a month since I moved in! And today I got a notice of "non-compliance to pay" on my door because I only wrote my check out for the amount it's supposed to be, as kind of a 'statement'...they sent me something yesterday telling me that yes, I did really have to pay the full amount and I had 48 hours in which to do so. Today's notice was telling me the 48 hours was up, which it wasn't, obviously. So I grabbed the new notice, the lease and marched down to the office to have me a little talk.

I was nice and polite, firm but not bitchy...scout's honor, seriously...and wouldn't you know, they had me down as the wrong freaking floor plan in the computer! Right rent amount, just the wrong apartment. Niiiice. So some quick math and fact-checking ensued and the end result is that my rent is lowered AND they OWE ME MONEY! ROFLMAO x 100, biznitches!

I suddenly like today a whole lot more...

Oho!! I just did some rechecking...there's another $10 dollars that wasn't supposed to be there...

Sorry, I'm on a mini-power trip right now. I usually never come out on top in this sort of thing. But I can't afford to NOT be getting charged right!

Otch: I'm going to a wedding this weekend, so I'll have all the booze I can handle...the backpay will be going to paying off the pet deposit that was never taken out and they suddenly discovered last week. I think it should be coming out to about $120 total, which leaves me with $130 to pay off. Sigh. $300 deposit plus $25/mo pet rent...ain't life grand.
