My hair is naturally curly/wavy, so I think that helps. It's just a matter of getting the curls to look good and not frizz that is my problem!
Mines naturally curly too but anything where it's pulled back just results in it straightening out. I just have annoying hair... it only looks halfway decent if I put in time and effort. Why can't I just be able to brush it and call it a day lol.

Anybody have a particular razor brand that they like? I've been using the Venus Embrace 5-blade, but they changed it to a "sensitive skin" version and for whatever reason I don't like it as much. Thinking about switching.

Has anyone tried Biosilk serum for hair? I bought some the other day and I quite like it so far. It smells nice, is very light, makes my hair shiny without being oily, and you only need a tiny bit. I got it half price at TJ Maxx, but otherwise it is quite expensive which is a definite downside.

Yes that stuff is amazing! I also used to love the "shine on". It makes your hair so soft and silky and SHINY. But you have to be sparing or it will get greasy looking.

I use men's disposable razors. I figure if it is good enough for their gnarly hairs on their faces, it's good enough for my all the parts. :p I use the Gillette Mach3 Sensitive ones. Cheaper than buying new razor heads.

I never had much luck with women's razors. Never shaved close enough, or at all, or took me forever and a million swipes to do so...Their "moisture strips" always dried me out, or gave me razor burn itchy redness rash type of thing. Nightmares.

I am currently googling Business Professional attire for an interview I have tomorrow. Because I really don't know what to wear. And I am doubtful I have anything TO wear. BeAu says wear the black dress I have (conservative, but formal). But I am seeing a whole lot of suits. Lot of suits. And I don't have slacks, let alone a suit.

Love the Biosilk serum, but yes it is expensive. I also use the Moroccan argan oil from Avon, much cheaper and I find it makes my hair feel and look the same as the Biosilk.

Do you have a cardi (bright is good! ) to put on over the dress? That would totally work. If not slacks and a nice dress shirt + cardi is what I do.

I love my job, but there are certain dogs/certain owners that can ruin it for me. But it definitely makes me love and enjoy my own dog so much more. He may have his quirks (especially when is at the boarding facility with me), but when we go home he is calm, he listens and I really take it for granted sometimes.

I usually rinse my hair off with seltzer when I get out of a pool and have never had my hair turn green by doing this.

I found this online:

Make a baking soda solution. Baking soda will effectively remove chlorine and other chemicals from your hair.

  • You can make a solution with one tablespoon (15 grams) baking soda to one cup (250ml) water, or a paste with one tablespoon (15 grams) baking soda and just enough water to make a paste.
  • Wash your hair with the baking soda solution. Your hair may feel a bit slimy when shampooing, that means it's working.
  • Rinse your hair thoroughly, then follow your normal hair-care routine.

I haven't washed my hair in 4 weeks. 4 weeks exactly on Tuesday. (Well, I did two conditioner washes and have gotten it wet a few times, but no shampoo.)

It. Looks. Awesome. It feels amazing, has tons of body, not too much frizz, tons of curls, and feels nice and soft. I don't want to wash it ever again. :rofl1:

My hair is pretty awful right now.

After I dye it, it looks and feels great for about a week- 10 days. After that, I dare not wash it and better only use a TON of DEEP conditioner and argan oil.

My roots are still super bright. Everything else is dull and washed out, though. I know it is just damaged and it will grow out. And this temp dye is WAY better. But still.

Henna. Auburn. Or keep up the good fight. With a M-F 9-6 job. Ugh.

Me and my hair delimmas, I swear. I do have a lush nearby though. Could always try henna this weekend.

JUST DO IT LYZ.
(I obviously need someone to keep me honest)

So I just bought my first haul of Lush products. Turns out the only Lush store in Tennessee is about an hour away from me so me and my sister took a little road trip out there because we were having a hard time figuring out what we wanted online. Everyone in the store was so nice, and they had a really good selection including things I didn't see online. I ended up getting the I love Juicy shampoo, the American Cream conditioner, the Angels on bare skin, Enzymion, and Tea Tree Water for my face, some Honey I Washed the Kids for my body, and then they gave me some samples of Dream Cream and Ocean Salt. I will update once I have used everything!

What! No bath bombs?!
I confess that bath bombs are pretty much the only thing I ever buy at Lush LOL.

I just bought some sulfate free argan oil shampoo and conditioner (and leave in conditioner), I pretty much always have just cheap whatever stuff (I also usually don't shampoo, just rinse or condition). Anyway, I used the shampoo/conditioner the other day and have been spraying the leave in conditioner every day and my hair is soooo nice! I'm loving it. Guess the expensive stuff might actually be worth it, what do you know!?
