well here is our current foster girl. The shelter has her labeled Pitbull mix but im not so sure. She is alot shorter than puck and weighs in at about 35 pounds ( she is a bit overweight) She is 7 years old and spayed/UTD on shots.
She is a special needs girl as she is deaf, and appears to have an issue with one eye. ( floaters we thing as she tries to snap at the bug she see's) So we have been working on hand signs:)
I am not sure how well you can see it in the photo's but someone has gone after this girl with a tat gun. She has a butterfly in one ear , and her name and hearts in the other. As well as a small hear right next to her nose:/

I have known a few tattooed dogs (including my own) tattooed for identification and done when put under for one reason or another. This is a bit much but wow, sure makes her unique!

Good luck with her, she's tiny and I love it!

Oh I know alot of dogs that have ID tats. As well as dogs that get little ones at some clinics when spayed. would never gain say that.

well Adrianneisabel I think she might need backup to come play. maybe she would get tired then, for an *older* girl she sure is frisky and JUMPS! I wish I knew someone with experiance with training a deafie for agility, She would soar at it.

Oh my own GSD is tattooed, for identification and competition purposes - not to look pretty though. I guess that's where I draw the line. Inflicting pain for "pretty" factor - and I have 4 tattoos so I'm pretty aware of how it feels.

She's a dainty little beasty :)

I said the same but I met a pit bull tattooed for an ID and they said why do a number or name? Why not a symbol? I had no good response so I said, yeah, why not ? I do though agree 3 prettys is a lot!

She could be a Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. The body shot reminded me of one 9except for her ears), and the size is right. I have to say, whatever the heck she is, she's a cutie.

Well, I don't know about the symbols but I know the place that I took Kastle to get his tattoo, they just had a little device that crunched all the numbers/letters into his ear at one time - so one shot of pain, smeared the ink in and he was done. I would think with different shapes/colors/shading it would be more than a split-second thing? I think it's a testament to this dog's temperament that they obviously were able to do much more than that. :)

Confession- I got Cheshire (Lady Chesh) spayed at the shelter for cheap due to having a contact there. At the time, all shelter dogs were tatood with an intake number, which she did not have.

So the assistant tattood two eyes and a smile in her ear, just like the Cheshire cat in the movie. It looked awesome.

Now her ear pigment has darked quite a bit, so it's not easy to see, but I like seeing it there.

Might be so but knowing from the home she came from, it was done the old fashioned ink and gun way. The dog warden said they where not the brightest bulbs on the light chain.
