You're only as short as you carry yourself, so most days I'm walking around like I'm at least 5'5" or so. :D

Does anyone else have moments where it suddenly dawns on them just how short they really are? It's troublesome, because I really think I'm taller than I am.
Me too..sometimes. I rarely think about how short I really am, until someone stands right next to me. More often than not, people feel the need to tell me that I'm short, like it hadn't dawned on me. When I first meet a client that I've booked over the phone they always let me know that I sounded much taller...:D

Oh, that was all the way through high school. And there's a deli here that has the BEST sandwiches. The owner is a friend, and his wife he just brought from Israel is too . . . but his father!!!!! If his father is in the deli hanging around when I come in I have to dodge and weave to keep him from doing the grab/grope/hug thing. I try to do it without hurting his feelings - he's a sweet old lech, lol!
LMAO - sweet old lech..hehehehe
You and I have the same problem in reverse. They all want to hug you for the benefit of the soft place to cradle their noses, while with me there's the "while you're down there" remark....or come over her so I can set my beer down...grrrrMEN

dr2little, renee- Did your friends say if there were any bad scars from the reduction?

Since the last time I had to return 2 bras at La Senza, I've seriously been debating getting one... They don't have "cute" DD bras. It's just impossible. I think I'd seriously rather have a B or C cup. Much more perky, manageable and I could finally wear cute bra/undie sets!

You can always paraphrase Orson Welles' reputed retort to a woman. The woman looked at him and remarked at how fat he was, whereupon Mr. Welles replied, "I am fat, but I can lose weight, but you, ma'am, will always be stupid." ;)

Roxy, Lisa said she had just a tiny little scar that her surgeon hid where it's basically undetectable unless you go looking for it. She offered to show it to me, but I declined ;)

You can find cute bras in DD, but you have to look really, really hard

while I am generally too lazy to match up my bra and underwear lol and because I just take what I can get in Bras, you can get some nice DD bras at La Senza.

Do they have the Ipex or Itec bras there? or whatever they are lol. They aren't fancy but they are COMFORTABLE and the support isn't too bad either.

I got an alright looking one at LaSenza, but it doesn't fit properly. They only had them up to D's, and the lady said just to get a 38D (the cup is bigger than a 36) So I did that, but the wire comes up right at my arm pit as opposed to a little bit before and it hurts!

I got a brown one, wooo, brown... LOL, but it fits nicely. I think it'll be my next "wear as much as I can bra". You know you all have that one bra that makes your boobs look just right! LOL.

My last "wear as much as I can bra" came from an older lady lingerie shop... And that says it all.... LOL

And don't lie Renee, we all know you looked

LMAO

If anyone ever finds a " cute " padded bra, let me know !! Doesn't have to match my Hanes 100 % cotton panties !! Glad I'm not looking for a hunk of an old man !! He'd probably be wearing Depends anyway ! I'll stick to dogs, thank you .

Oh in LaSenza the other day, Brent decided to try on some of the A's and B's, and it looked like he had a nice set of jugs. LMAO

OMG, I was so embarassed when I went to the older lingerie store for a good bra.... I asked the lady there, "Ah, are there any bras withOUT padding, I mean even your C's, D's and DD's have padding! I mean, why would you want your boobs to look even bigger with any of those cups!?!?!"

Lady at the store: Looks at me funny. "Well when your my age, and you've breast fed a couple of kids, you can't wear a tight fitting shirt without your nipples popping out to say "Hi!"".

LMAO, I felt like such an idiot, DUH!!! *smacks forehead*

I can tell you first hand that the scars are so minimal, they're all but invisible. I think the grooves left from my bra straps trying desperately to support "the girls";) were far worse than the scars are. Without being too graphic, I met my hubby post surgery and he didn't even know I'd had them reduced. The even better news is that mine were done in 1987 and the advancements in technique since then would make the scars even less apparent. I had the "key hole" proceedure done and all that you can see is a very thin faint line down and the one under the breast is just as thin and faint and is hidden. It wasn't a walk in the park but with all of the back aches and discomfort not to mention trouble fitting bras and other clothes, it was so worth the bit of pain. And yes, after 19 years...they're still saluting the sun! :D
