What they don't realize is only tall women and short women really understand each other . . . Nothing fits. Not clothes, not kitchens . . . nothing. We exist in a world made for women who are between 5'4" and 5'6". You guys can't reach anything and get stiff necks and tired arms from having to work on things that are too high - like anything in the kitchen, and we get backaches and sore shoulders and necks from having to reach down to do ordinary things - like anything in the kitchen!

On the other side of the coin, at least people saw you as petite and delicate when you were growing up . . . whereas we get treated like freaks of nature who were only supposed to wear flat shoes (NOT!) so we wouldn't be too tall . . . I guess the tiny girls had problems finding clothes that weren't too baby-ish a lot of the time, especially if you were so petite you were still wearing girls' sizes in Jr. High

And remember in school when you'd get put in line by height? Guess who always got to be last . . . :(

See? When I was 10 I was wearing women's clothing. I had to start wearing a bra - not a training bra - when I was seven, and guess what started when I was eight :( You don't even want to think about finding shoes for an eight year old who wears a women's size 8  I was 5'3" tall by the beginning of the third grade . . . My best friend was the shortest girl in the class, lol!

Oh . . . and I had dark red hair . . . . kinda stood out a bit, especially since my Mom thought she should keep it short . . . To this day I refuse to wear my hair above my shoulders

Oh, I was definitely jail bait by the time I was in the fifth grade, lol! Scary, huh?

Now that would be an odd spot to be in! I was taller than the guys until my junior year in high school - when I was 14 and everyone else was 16 - and even then I was still taller than most in a high school of over 4,000 students. Total freak, lol!

I bought my Mom's first bra .... she must have been about 50 . I only wear one for the padding....nipples are always too perky too for a Grammy in a tee shirt. I have gone from a 31AA to a 32A .... only good thing about aging ! No wonder I nursed my 3 kids for so long.! Husband even bought me a V necked dress when I had cleavage !

ROFL!!! Oh, Grammy, you'd have laughed at me! From the time I was in the third grade, the last things my Mom would say to me on my way out the door were "I can see that one and that one" and "Renee! Tuck your butt in!" And I HAD on a bra - good ones - and my butt WAS tucked :(

'course it's funny now ;)

I'm 5'3 so I guess I can't be part of your club :(

I can't reach a lot in the kitchen though! So maybe I can be part of your club than?!?! :)

Renee- I feel ya on the bra issue, when I was 10 I was a 34B. 10!!! I'd be happy for those things now!

I'd say it was worse for you being shorter, Roxy! At least I was tall enough that mine didn't look as big as they would have if I'd been shorter . . .

What I got, though, was all the short guys wanting to hug me all the time
