I saw one of these guys in Petco when I was in Seattle. He was young...I think around a year or a little more. He appeared well socialized and very nice. I am not usually gaga over these types of dogs from an athestics standpoint. But he was just flat out cool. I admired his looks...the muscles, the firmness. And he was calm and lovely with me...quite out going. :)

Oh I am so jealous. I would love to be in the presence of something so magnificent, but than again I am a mastiff person so I LOVE them!!

The first time I met a Cane Corso I was just it utter awe. It was love at first sight!

Well...I do admire several of the mastiffs. It's not that I don't. (actually, a Doberman is considered a mastiff type due to it's background in development) In fact, I find the Bull Mastiff to by very attractive as well as all the other fine qualities. It would even be a dog I'd consider getting if I were younger and didn't lean so much toward smaller dogs now. But some of them I don't find as good looking. However, when I met this one in person, I was bowled over with awe. He was indeed something to feast my eyes on. Added to that, he had such a nice, stable appearing temperament.

No. Oh, wait a minute! It wasn't Petco at all. (I usually go to the west Seattle one on California) It was, in fact when I was up in Marysville...at Jones & Co. That's where it was! I stopped in for dog food and got a new comfortable, mesh harness for Chuli. I go back and forth from Seattle to Marysville when I'm on the coast...daughter lives on Alki. Son and ex in Mrsvl.

Are you in Ballard now? Nice town!

You'll have to stop by sometime when you're on the coast. We're not in Ballard. We managed to find a place in Magnolia. :D

Funny, my brothers girlfriend has a gorgeous male Presa Canario in Tacoma. He's a gorgeous dog, higher energy than I would have thought! lol But I thin he's still under a year, or close to it so that could be why.

Oooooooo Romy! Magnolia. You're livin' high on the hog, I see. That would be fun to see you again.

BB...all these coasties. So, your bro and gf live in Tacoma. Yeah... being young may have something to do with it. LOL. How cool. Do you get to visit the dog often? I do admire them, even though I probably wouldn't have one. I'd sure like to hang out with some though.

I get to see him (Rocco) probably about once every other week or so. He's a gorgeous dog. They left his ears and tail natural, which I really like. He's a very lean, but muscular boy right now! I'm pretty sure he'll fill out a bit as he get's older.

I love Jones and Co. That's where I get all my dehydrated stuff for the dogs.

Also Wow on the Presa... I don't think I've seen one up here yet. Last one I saw was in Colorado.

What did he catch?

Kat, I wonder if we ever passed each other in an aisle at the pet store. LOL. Wouldn't that be funny? I would be the one with the two Chi's being driven around in a basket. I don't let them walk around on the floor in there. Some big dog like a Presa might come around the corner and "catch" one of them. LOL.

I'm only an intermittent coastie. But it would be fun to have a meet-up some time when I'm over there. I'm heading that-a-way some time in Aug. But have to house sit for my ex a good deal of the time...up north.

I've met one, FOHA's own Guppy. But unfortunately Guppy is a child of the BYB "bred because he looks badass and no other reason" type and I don't think he really has proper Presa temperament. He's a big baby. :p (And he's been adopted, yay!)

If you ever actually want one of the breed, try to research and find the people affliliated with Grejon Kennels, they used to have a website, but I can't find it now. They have some awesome dogs.
