i do believe you have the right to have the dog checked out by your vet...if their was a problem, i am sure they would take the dog back..the fact is when their is a problem..that is the first place people call.Dogs get out, dogs get lost. Good dogs get lost too...eveybody calls the same number..help me out here homeless! Tell us about the most adoptable guys you know in your shelter right now! They are the most at risk for everything..in a place that smells of panic and death. they need the chance FIRST! Victor was in a place like that..Connie Guthrie with Save_Our_Strays calls around and sees who is adoptable.and at the end of their time .then drives over, takes the dog to her kennel and with a goodly share of her own money she puts the dog up and gives it a second chance.then she drives them to adoptafests like the ones at petsmart trying to give them the birthrite chance they should have..She is a Saint! .if it wasn't for her, Vic, (and a hundred others) would be history! He was getting past the adoptable puppy age..he wasn't cute..he was skinny.he flailed his legs everywhere trying to be loved..he was so scared when i brought him home....and now he is the kind of dog people (men/hunters) ask me if i want to sell..a dog that makes me so proud to be at the other end of his leash..he turns heads...he is beautiful in spirit as well as body. They said he was an english mix..i don't believe so because i have found too many ep that look just like him...even if he was a mix he would still be Victor. For those who don't know him..he is in my gallery. If i had gone to a breeder and bought per say a wiemer..which i was dreaming about I would have lost so badly the very dog that needed me as much as i needed him.
