Loved the Malamute, Ice. He's under a year old and look at him, stunning!
The Sheltie was soo cute too, I missed the australian shepherds so this is the closest i got to my fav breeds, and offcourse I cant resist blue eyed blue merles!

My first sold picture! (and it happens to look a bit like my wee Matisse too!)
I just chatted to the woman who owned this little Tibetan Terrier rescue and took a couple of pics, and it wasn't until a few days later she found me on flickr and offered to pay for a few prints, happy days!

That's all! Hope you liked them!

thanks grammy!

Gorgeous pictures! What photoshop are you using?
thank you! Just before i noticed you posted i was in the middle of having a look through your photo blog, some really gorgeous pictures there Jennifer! I really like the colours in the ones of the sunset and offcourse I'm partial to the Lizzie pics too!
I would use Lightroom for most of the editing, then if need be i'll give my pictures a sharpen in CS3, or for more complex stuff like cloning and whatever. I used to only use cs3, but since getting LR i'm totally addicted and wondered how i managed without it lol.
what about you?

Beautiful pictures! The second keeshond is stunning, I'm guessing it's the daughter?
thank you! Yup shes the daughter!
I love how keeshonds don't shop their age very much, i cant remember what age the daddy kees is but i remember thinking 'wow, he looks good for his age!' at the time!

Oo! Re: the keesies, who was the kennel? Do you remember? Maybe I know 'em. Then again, probably not because I havent' really been around anyone who actively showed in over ten years.

has it been that long? God I'm old.

i'm afraid i don't know the kennel, though i might run into them again at another dog show this month. Although this dog show was in Belfast Northern Ireland (UK)... Are you a local?

I've tried Lightroom before, and omg, it's amazing isn't it?

Fantastic fantastic fantastic! I'm dying over the poodle picture. So much attitude and the PP is wonderful. It looks almost metallic. Brilliant set! I can never muster up enough courage to take too many pictures at dog shows. The people there always seem so angry at me for asking.

Fantastic photos, as always!! You're such a great photographer. I have the same problem as skKi at dog shows -- everyone always seems annoyed at me when I try to take any pictures.

thanks everyone, means a lot :)

aaahh a canaan dog! thanks smexyP!

Toller & Skki, the trick is not to ask!
haha, most of the time I just walk up to the dogs and start taking the pictures, and dont look the owners directly in the eye! lol, then if they seem to be ok with it i'll chat a little while taking more photos, but if they are giving me dirty looks i'll just say 'ta!' and wonder off.
If they happen to see me coming i'll compliment their dog and make small talk then ask them directly, and most would be ok but some can be cheeky, so i just walk off (pretending not to be embarassed lol). Sometimes i feel a little stupid, but most of the time I just say to myself 'i know if i dont take this dog's picture i'll regret it later!' haha, weird but works with me!
And if you're not in the way of things, then whats it to the owners if you take a few photos? just try not to care too much :)
