I just watched a video of a friends GSD pup going after the windshield wipers of her car, and oh my god, I've missed so much how quirky this breed is. I'm incredibly excited to have another one in my life!

From a list of German names I found:
Genevieve (Form of Guinevere )
Gertrude (Beloved Warrior )- which could be shortened to Gerti, like someone suggested.
Giselle (Pledge )
Gretchen (Form for Margaret )
Greta (Form of Gretchen )

I had to google your breeder as I keep going between another ES or a GSD for my next dog, and OMG do I ever love Kaida and Arrow. I'm the first to admit I don't know anything about GSD lines and I just want a companion, but they're very much my type.

I also noticed that their foundation bitch's name was Akela, which was the name of my GSD. So strange - it's not even a common name! I've NEVER heard of another Akela - that's just too weird, I just froze when I saw it!

This is the breeders G litter. I'm not sure if she requires they HAVE to have a G name or not. That's not a detail we've worked out yet.

I'm going for something less common.
Okay, when I saw this post my eyes went "G litter...Glitter" :rofl1:

Another fan of Gala here.

What about narnian names? Wikipedia has a list. There's Ginger, and Gale.

Sit Stay, I'm not sure where in Ontario you are exactly, but if you are ever looking to get a German Shepherd, there are one or two excellent breeders I would highly recommend :) Saw your location and someone specific immediately came to mind!

Sit Stay, Arrow is an amazing dog. I got the chance to work with her some on her obedience, and oh my god, LOVE. If I had been asked to take an adult dog, she would have been my choice. I adore her.

Okay, so I heard back from the breeder, and all the mothers in this pup's pedigree will have been named Native Names, so we'd like to keep with that tradition, considering it's possible this pup will have a litter for the breeder. That said, it'd also be neat if we could do a native american name from mythology, to go with Psyche. So if anyone has any ideas, with tips on how to pronounce them (man, I struggle with G-names and actually SAYING them!), that'd be great!

That's nice to know Arrow is as great as she sounds in her write-up! I've favorited her site :) Super nice dogs.

Looking a Gemma a lot right now, even though I hated it at first... I also hated Bella at first, but when you love the dog, the name matters little.

Waiting eagerly to find out when I'll find out which puppy is mine!

I don't know - trust me, I've been obsessively checking my e-mail and the website to see if pictures are up. So as soon as I even have pictures of the litter to share, I will! And hopefully the next time I see the puppies (which may not be until the Saturday after this upcoming one) I'll know which one is mine.
