Oh Grammy, I'm so so sorry. I can't stop crying thinking of Chip. Chip will always be in your heart and memories. I know Chip is with my Fluffy and Brandy up in doggie heaven watching over all of us. As you sleep at night, I just know all of our loved ones are with you keeping you warm. You have such a big heart and a dog with a heart as big as yours will come your way to help bring some happiness back into your life.

My heart goes out to you Grammy. It happens so fast and is such a shock when our dearest love is swept away and we are left standing alone. I know you will open your heart to another in honor of your love for Chip. I know when i lose Mary she will be the final chapter left in my book from the kennels. It will be so different without that thread running through my life and i think this must be a bit like it is for you. (((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))Rest in Peace dear Chip.

This was sent to all the ChazPeople who love Grammy . . .

We received this e-mail, and I thought everyone would enjoy reading it!

The following message was sent to you via the Chazhound Dog Forum Contact Us form by
Mike Steck.

--------------------------------

bubbatd / Grammy is my mom, and as I am here in California at a distance, I wanted
to thank Chazhound-friends who have emailed my mom on the loss of Chip, her Golden
companion. I have read through each and every email, and the depth and heart-felt
hugs given to her. We all grew up with Goldens, and at times had 5 or more in a mass
ocean of bright eyes and golden fur. Life was, for her 3 children, forever changed
because of my mom's heart for 4-legged wonders. After our Dad passed, the bond
between mom and her companions has grown even stronger. She has never been without a
dog, and will not be...as I am sure that the right one is about to find his or her
way to my mom once again. She forever changes their lives, as she did Chip...making
their time here on Earth, no matter its length, just pure magic and fun. Thank you
for being there, as her connective family...with and for my mom. Blessings....
Mike

I feel so blessed with all of this support. As you know Goldens were my life ( especially when the kids left the nest. ) I couldn't be without a fuzzy lover... I've never been without one for 50 years. With prayer and direction ... I went with Elin today to meet Ollie.... tonight I have a fuzzy to hug !! Yes, it was maybe too soon ....we walked into the adoption center 20 miles from here and it was love at first sight. Ollie had been in for 6 months !! He should have gone the first week. Awesome lover . They questioned ElN if I could handle a 100# 1 1/2 year old.... within 20 minutes I was approved and they said... are you ready to pay ? We all burst into tears and Ollie is mine. I still can't believe how I jumped into this . I loved my Chip so and my heart was so empty . I know my angel dogs at the bridge sent him to me. I can't believe I'll be hugging a real dog again. He loved all of the basket toys and is a great kisser. EliN will post pictures of him. He was listed as Retriever/Poodle.... but I don't see any poodle... curly coat could be any retriever related. Chaz friends will have to decide. Anyway... my heart is still heavy for my beloved Chip and Ollie isn't a replacement , but a filler in Grammy's heart. I hope I can do him justice.

Congrats on Ollie! He sounds like a sweetheart.

I'm glad you have him. I'm sure Chip doesn't want to see his mommy sad.

I'm so happy for you. It sounds like Chip had Ollie waiting for you to come pick him up. You have a big heart and will love Ollie like all your other special ones.

Oh Grammy I am so sorry for your loss of Chip! I'm also sorry that I've been too busy lately to keep up on the news and am late with my condolences. (((((((HUGS)))))))

I hope that Ollie works out for you and puts his Golden side to good use in easing the next few months for you! He's gorgeous!

Grammy,
I have been on vacation. I just read about your loss. Chip was very lucky to have you. And you are a strong, smart, person for moving on.
I am sorry to hear of your loss.

I also wish you the best with your new doggie, Ollie. What a help he will be to ease your sorrow.

Best Wishes,
Julie.
