I have a customer who just got a new, older, dog. When he called to make an appointment he said he was a pug/poodle mix. The dog was owned by an elderly woman who no longer could take care of him so the grand-daughter took him in. She didn't want to keep him so ended up giving him to my customer.

I don't think she knew what breed he was. My customer kind of guess he'd be poodle/pug mix. But I think he's pure Brussels Griffon. If he's not pure, he's definitely has some in him.

What do you guys think?

Sorry for photo quality again, phone.

I think he could be a brussels! If he is, he's probably mixed though, his coat type doesn't look right. He's adorable whatever he is!

Nothing in him screams poodle to me. His face is so smooched in, you can't tell from the photos.

Here's one of profile. hehe! Poor guy, he just wants me to leave him alone.

I would bet money on pet store brussels!
That would be my guess too.

He's found himself a good home though, I'm really happy for the little guy. And for only being there for a short time, he's sooo attached to his owner.

Reading the thread title and seeing the picture without reading the content I immediately thought wow that's a badly bred BG. Honestly think he is a BG.

was the client TOLD the dog is a pug/poodle mix? if so then that is probably what the dog is.
said it a hundred times, unless you saw the deed done you're just guessing and have as much chance of winning the lottery.

No, like I said, the customers guessed that he might be that mix. They've never spoken to the original owner, the elderly lady, only her family who didn't seem to know or care much about this dog.

You are right, we'll never know what breed/s he is. I was just shocked when they walk in with him. This was actually his second visit with me. He came in not long ago to get shaved and I brought up the fact that he looked like a BG and they didn't know what breed that was. This visit they said they've since brought him to the vet who said the same thing.
