Was she in heat when spayed? I read it could take up to 3 weeks for that to completely stop.

I hope it's nothing to worry about..........but I am still going to worry until I read the update!

Sending prayers and vibes for little Bella

Coop, I don't think she was in heat when spayed. Nikki's been trying to catch her between heats. Bella always seems to know and would go into heat right before her appointment date ;)

It would be good to know WHERE the bleeding is coming from. If there is a seroma in the incision, that can cause some weeping/bleeding from the incision site as it heals. That would not concern me quite as much as it would if it were vaginal bleeding.

Awaiting updates and thinking good thoughts!!!!

We had a cat at one of the practices I worked at go into heat, even though she had been spayed at the shelter. An ultrasound was done and ultimately it was found that they had not completely removed everything. Hopefully it's something foolish like that!!

I stated previously that it was vaginal bleeding.

They did an ultrasound and everything looked good. They did a physical exam and couldn't feel anything either. They think it's a UTI. We have some antibiotics and we'll get the culture results tomorrow.

If you all remember, we thought she had one prior to her spay (an UTI) so the doc said that this could be the result of supressing her immune system with the spay, etc..

ANND, Bella did really well with the new people. :)

Thanks, smkie. Both Bella and Buddy could sure use a break. :)
I'm tellin' ya! You would think you could at least have an uneventful spay........but noooooooooooo even that has to get a little scary!

I am glad it all looks good, I hope they diagnosed her well and she is on the mend as we speak :)
