My child shouldnt have to learn that being frisked is part of life. I have NEVER been frisked for anything and I'm a adult. I got wanded at the airport and that was it.

as an aside I am not horrified by people patting down children. I think its silly people think patting down and harassing people makes anyone safer.

Dekka...now you're being silly. I got your point originally, which is you don't like pat downs at airports. let's not get overly dramatic about it.

But the laughable thing is that there is no significant danger, and this screening isn't keeping you safer.

I could be ok with it if it worked, and if there was a real danger. But its neither.

By this logic you would be ok with cavity checks to go shopping with your kids at the mall. Far more likely hood of terrorist activity there. Or perhaps a strip search to take pubic transit, far far higher risk of terrorist activity there.
No pun intended? :rofl1:

I guess I'm a bit desensitised, but I really don't see it as a big deal at all.

Like I say, you have to be practically naked at our airports.

We just get on with it. No biggie. Takes all of 12 seconds of your life.

No person has been emotionally scarred from a pat down.

They have however been emotionally scarred by parents getting all melodramatic and crying MOLESTATION.

Smack the parents, pat down the kids haha

I only have a issue with the private areas and the finger inside the pants. The rest meh. I dont like it but its not the end of the world.
watch it again..the TSA agent wound her finger around the waistband. hardly inside the pants or insulting private areas.

I dont care. Its something the parent can do no stranger needs to do it to my child. beginning and ending of story. For what they want there are things parents can do so they can see that. Like flipping the waist band out or letting them look in the jeans. My daughter is told that NO ONE besides me, jeremy and our parents touch her there or put our hands/fingers inside her pants. Much less touch her private areas in or out of the pants.

of course your child shouldn't be frisked. it's sad that is part of the world now. hey.....I didn't think radiation would be wandering over our pastures either, but lookie.....it's a new world than that of our childhood.

what does radiation in a field have to do with frisking a person?

Sure its 'interesting times'. But they are not related. Unless you are suggestion we frisk the fields for radiation.. makes about as much sense as what the TSA is doing.

We have to have belts and what not off too. In fact I almost lost my pants in one airport with very bad planning LOL Took my belt off and put my cd player back in my pockets to get the basket and what not and the pants were a size too big. :rofl1:

agree...agree..agree........except where it is dictated as our now new life. and that, sweetie......is an airport. it's beyond sad. it's pathetic, but it's also no big deal to any child unless they have parents that insist on making it one. then they grow up with issues.

but there is really no point to the friskying with everything else. They have YET to catch a terrorist with this method IIRC.

what does it have to do with this discussion? EVERYTHING. it's a different world..like it or don't. getting a pat down at the airport is now normal.

and you're just being difficult, so it's again just silly. LOL OK..I got your point. so sometimes it's enough to just stop. :rofl1:

Not really. You want to feel safe. You are ok with all the people it inconveniences, upsets, etc so you can feel safe. That has to do not with the 'new' dangerous of the world. But the new fears of the world. Its not like radiation, you can just decided to not buy into the fear agenda. Voila its gone. One can't do that with radiation, its a real thing.

If it was actually making people safer I would be amenable to it. Its not logical, its being abused and its not helping. I am not being difficult, just logical. Now if logic is difficult for you....
