Remember his stinky ears? He went to the vet awhile ago and got ear drops. He woke me up at 4:30 thrashing around, banging his head on the floor and he had bled on the floor from scratching his head. So I rubbed his poor itchy ears until the vet opened in the morning so at the very least he wouldn't start bleeding again. It was making these icky gushy noises. He had to get knocked out to get the infection sucked off his eardrums. While he's knocked out he needed some dental work and his shots updated so he's getting that done too.

My poor guy. At least it's nothing too serious. He's coming up with me on a 5 hour drive to my aunts tomorrow. Hopefully he'll feel better tomorrow.

It was so sad. It took me 10 minutes to get the receptionist to understand what dog I was talking about just now.

"Is Bandit <insert the spelling of my last name> ready to be picked up?"
"NO BANDAR HERE"
"No. Bandit. B-A-N-D-I-T"
"We don't have a Bandar here."

Oh wow! His ears must have really gotten bad. I hope he feels better soon, poor guy. I bet he'll be glad to come home!

That's incredible how the receptionist couldn't seem to understand or hear you. You even spelled it!?!?! What the heck? Hopefully, she'll know who you're talking about when you go to pick him up....not that she brings out the wrong dog. LOL.

Maybe the vet needs to put the receptionist under and clean her ears?

She must be a fan of the old Phantom comic strip . . . with the Pygmy Bandar :rofl1:

Sawyer had an ear infection like that. Poor guy had blood ears and would bang his head around too.

All the antibiotics we tried worked for the time being. But he still had stinky ears. Then I found Otomax. I asked my vet about it and he said he saw no reason not to try it. It was $30 for the medicine and it WORKED. It worked better than anything the vet perscribed.

So after the treatment I ordered the Otomax ear cleaner and he has been infection/bloody ear free for over a month. YAY!

I hope Bandit is feeling better soon!
