You're supposed to be in a JJ before they walk ;) three months and up. And the point is to jump. Do people also think that dangerous toys should not be recalled? I dont like the idea of a baby being able to move three feet a second. And I don't mind it if the gov. steps in for babies who are not being protected.

Then that's the one. Mom said she had to give up on it because I was getting it airborne and managed to flip it.

Guess they should ban those too then.

That wasn't you? I was sure it was you lol where did I read that? Perhaps I dreamed it lol. Maybe I thought it was you because you are the only other person on here I know has a Bumbo.

HAHA now I must look into where I read that someone's baby fell out but they were on the bed and everything was fine.

I agree with you that most accidents happen because parents aren't careful but it sounded like everyone thought that if a baby got hurt in a walker it was because the parents were stupid and that's not always the case :D

BUT... look at all the recalls lately. Hooded sweaters because of strangulation hazard? Seriously? This is news? cut the strings off lol. Walkers aren't much different. I must get an email everyday with a new recall... it's insane.
Who knows, lol. I am pretty sure its not me, or maybe I'm just losing my mind??

I agree that accidents happen to even good parents. I meant accidents like the walker falling down stairs. From the link, it sounded like walkers are being banned because of injuries from falling down stairs. Its just common sense.

There's no way to flip them.
Yeah you can't flip ours and Hannah gets some good air in that thing. She loves her Jolly Jumper. Now my problem is finding a way to shorten it... she's getting too long for it already lol.

They are supposed to be adjustable. By the chain at the top. Do you have the real Jolly Jumper (blue one made by .... wait for it ... Jolly Jumper)?

oh poo. I don't know anything about that one. I didn't like it cuz i don't think it gives as much support around the torso. although, it might not be the one i'm thinking of. My sis had a tigger one that looked like that and I don't think it was very easy to adjust either. Does Hannah love hers? How long is she now anyway?

it doesn't really give a lot of support so I roll and tuck a thin blanket down inside and that works nicely.

hannah LOVES it. It is probably the only thing we have other than her boppy that she will spend more than 15 minutes in before getting frustrated and want out. She will play in that for about an hour before she gets tired and needs a nap lol. she loves it.

She is 27 1/4 inches long (she was 20 inches when she was born lol)

She does sound long. I can't remember what fiona was at that age but she's just passed the 29 inch mark at 9 months. And she's long for her age. Not freakishly. Just long-ish. She used to LOVE her jolly jumper. She'd spend hours in it if I let her. Now if I come close to her with it she shrieks and tries to crawl away. She's way too independent these days.

yeah she's 85% for length... whatever that really means lol. but she is long. she's long and lean so size wise she fits in her 3-6 month onesies... but length wise they are getting way too short. They have these onesie extenders though lol I might get some of those.

So when she is in her jumper they say that their feet should just touch the ground but not her... her legs are bent because she gets so low lol BUT that doesn't stop her from having a good ol' jumpin time.

LOL she already does...

She sometimes lays beside me on the couch and kicks me repeatedly and I end up with little toe shaped bruises on my ribs lol.

What's fiona weigh now?

Does hannah have favourite foods yet? Fiona likes pretty much everything.

So far she's only had rice cereal, oatmeal, greenbeans and Bananas. Cereals are a big thumbs down lol. Green beans she will eat if I mix a little bit of banana in it. she will eat anything if it has banana mixed in lol. So right now her clear favorite is bananas but she hasn't had much variety yet. I am going to try her with butternut squash on wednesday or thursday and see what she thinks of that and then try avocados after that.

She cracks me up though because she will only eat 6 oz from a bottle even if she hasn't had any solids and even for her first feeding in the morning but even after she cleans the bowl she will still take almost a full bottle afterwards lol.

Have you tried mashing a bit of banana with her cereal? I still give fiona some cereal but I always mash something with it. I just steamed some cauliflower for the first time so she'll try that tomorrow. Tonight she had cereal and mashed yams. Mmmmm. lol

Yeah she doesn't mind the oatmeal with some bananas in it :) Rice cereal she just absolutely detests though lol. Can't say i blame her... paper has better flavor.
