I'm not much help, as I am trying to think of baby names of my own. I am not coming up with very many boy names.

I like Nathan, but I think it sounds too much like Mason, as some people already have gotten it confused when I say Mason they think it is Nathan.

I also like Lucas or Luka, but have a nephew named Luke.

And I am trying to decide whether we are going to go with all M names, or different. Most of the girl names I like are M names.

Congrats! You get a pigeon pair. That is awesome.

I don't know about the whole naming your kids with the same letter thing. Is that a particular American thing? The first time I saw it was on Desperate Housewives and it kinda creeps me out. Makes the kids feel like accessories and not individuals? I have always wondered why people do it?

I like old English names. If I were to ever have a son he would be either Harry or Roger.

I don't really like naming all the kids with the same letter either. But some of my biggest pet peeves are people using "made up" names, boys names on girls, spelling names differently than originally on purpose, etc. so I'm not sure my opinion there counts :p

LOL! I get you. I don't mean to ruffles feathers of people who do like it and have done it. You squeezed it out you can call it whatever you like. I just find it odd because it is not done here. First I heard of it I was an adult.

All of my sisters and I had the same initials which were the same initials that my mother had. My kids have both have "N" names, so I'm kind of offended at the your kids are accessories comment.

I really like the name Greyson.

I agree with this, except for the boys names on girls bit, it really depends on the name for me... So I'm not sure my opinion there counts either :p

Still not something I'd do, but if you're using the initials to honor someone, it's less weird than doing it because it's "cute". To me, it kind of sounds like a family is trying to maintain some sort of order and perfection and being little a little catalogue family. That doesn't mean I think every family who does this is like that, it's just what it reminds me of. Just like I imagine Puppydog doesn't think everyone who does it thinks their kids are accessories, it's just what it seems like her.

Kind of, IMO, like naming your dog after a car you can't afford or a designer. If you like that, go ahead and do it. You could argue it's because your dog is so valuable to you, you named it after something expensive, desirable, etc...but I think it sounds like you couldn't really afford what you wanted, so you settled on a dog :p

I s'pose I'm the one that started the above-metioned topic with my kids Cole, Carson, and Cooper. ;)

Why did I do it? I dunno. Not because I want perfection. Not because my kids are assembly-line products. Not because I see them as the most expensive fashion-accessories on the market.

My husband's name starts with a "C". He picked out Cole's first name and it was just conincidence that it started with a "C". I knew my next child, if I were to have a boy, was going to be Carson in memorium of my cousin. Alas next came Carson. When baby number three came around, I just figured he/she wouldn't want to be left out of the "C" game. And anyways, it was going to be Caroline for a girl regardless of the whole "C" scenario and when it was a boy, oh what the heck.....I know have a Cooper. :p

Believe it or not, their may not be any real reason. But then again their may be. Each of my children's middle names have very special meaning (Thomas after my PawPaw, James after my dad, David after hubby's dad).

Heck, my brothers and I all have five letters in our first names and seven in our middle names. :D

I am not against naming both of our kids with D names either, but I am not necessarily looking for a D name. If we come across one we like, then so be it! I just want to name to flow for us and sound right to us and be easy to say with Devin.

And apparently I really like Miakoda's names because now Campbell is really in the running! :)

Hm. Lamborghini Jones? Nah. Just doesn't have that special ring to it.

I like Campbell!

Bev and I have the same initials on accident. She needed to be a B and Renee was the only middle name I liked. Also coincidencially my mom and grandmother shared the same initials as well. BJB.

Morgan has 2 middle names like my dad and they are each of his grandfathers middle names.

Campbell is kinda cool. I'm not huge on last names as first names, because I think it's confusing (especially if your last name could be a first name!), but it's got a nice sound.

What about
Griffin/Griffith
Rowan
Derek
Anderson
Quinn
Beckett
Parker
Sawyer
Preston
Presley
Marshall

ARG. There's this website where you can type in names you like, and it will come up with other names similar to that style. And then you can add the ones you like that come up, and it keeps narrowing it down. I'll try to think of it. Like Pandora for names.

Nymbler!

Some others:

Keegan
Logan
Kingston
Ashton
Holden
Samson

Let me know if you like any of the ones I listed (even if they make you think of something weird but you like the sound/style) and I'll try to come up with more specific ones.

I have been thinking about whether or not to do all M names. And I absolutely am so far from thinking my kid is an accessory. When I picked Mason's name, I just liked it, and my girl name happened to be Madilyn, just because I loved it too. Madilyn is still on my list of girl names, along with 2 others I also happen to really love that start with M. And I have one other boy name I like that starts with M, that I think goes well with what would be his middle name (which is a last name). I have been searching and searching for other names that I really like, and so far haven't found any.

So it would just be M names, because apparently I like them, and haven't found any other names that I like quite as well as those.

Actually last night both Campbell and Beckett went onto the very short list of names we might consider. :) We aren't really anywhere near deciding but both keep pondering over it and over it.

Well, I had saved some names in case we ever do decide we want to have children :p (yeah. right)

But James Noble, and Johnathan Nathaniel were two that I really liked. Noble is a family name on my moms side, and I really liked it.
