i am very superst. like walking under a ladder.
Putting up an umbrella inside.
breaking a mirror means yrs bad luck
if I spill slat, throw some over your shoulder
when I vacume carpets in my rooms, i must do six times in one place.
an apple a day keeps the docter away?
step on a crack break your mothers back
end of the rainbow is pot of gold
black cat crosses my path, totally pernoid about that and turn around if driving
blowing all the candles on birthday cake or bad luck.
having somebody help break wishing bone from turkey and one gets the most gets good luck.
putting shoes on wrong feet.

Just silly things I do and believe will cause me bad luck.
My best one is itchy palm of right hand brings good fortune, that has happened 4 yrs in a row.

Now you all tell your superstitions please......

I knock on wood but that's just out of habit really. Oh and stretching. My grandmother says it prolongs your life. I just think it feels good. I guess the 'reasoning' behind that would be superstitious.

OH speaking of lucky apparatus'. I do have a lucky shirt that I wear for special football games. Has only made us lose once and that's only because a friend jinxed it by hiding it from me and not allowing me to wear it the full day (she gave it back right before the game but a lot of good that's going to do).

Wimmens just don't understand the subtle ebb and flow of lucky sport paraphernalia.

Never name an animal after a deceased animal. The new animal will die an early untimely death. There's no logic to it, but it's happened every single time. :(

I've walked under ladders, I've opened an umbrella inside, broke a mirror, I've spilled salt (and I'm not going to spill more over my shoulder... that's just more I have to clean up :p), I step on many cracks (when I was a kid and first heard this I ever-so-carefully stepped on one and looked at my mom quickly, nothing happened surprise surprise :rofl1:), if a black cat crosses my path I think "awww" instead of "aahhhhh," and I hate wishbones and doing them because I always get the smaller end and that pisses me off.

Nope, not really superstitious ;)

If you put your underwear on inside out, they have to stay that way all day otherwise it's bad luck..

Always have a Bay tree near your house to ward off evil spirits..

Never light a ciggie from a candle or you kill a Sailor..

Plus all the usual ones, ladders, mirrors being 7 years bad luck, umbrella's.. There's probably more..

I am sure there are more but off the top of my head:

When I exit a cemetery I leave a small token (few pennies usually) at the gate.

Whenever we move I always buy a new broom and throw the old one out.

I keep an unopened jar of salt hidden in the cabinet that is never used so we don't run out.

J collects knives, if I buy him one he gives me a coin in exchange for it.

I'm only superstitious during softball. If I'm wearing a certain piece of clothing and we win I wear it until we loose. If we loose it goes to the closet to never be seen again...lol...and before the game when warming up I NEVER step on the fresh chalked base line, never, ever, never...
