Anyone See BORAT??

I just borrowed the movie tonight from my friend who purchased it. I heard it is so funny and was so sick of hearing her talk about that I am going to watch it tonight as soon as my 5 year old is sleeping I guess it is a pretty controversial film and you have to have a sense of humor to watch it I love stupid movies that can make me laugh, especially after the day I had today!

A lot of people left the theatre when I went to see it, but I thought it was hilarious. It really is not a film for someone who is easily offended, but it is absolutely great, IMO.

It's one of those movies that you either love or hate right off the bat, and then as you hear more quotes from it, you slowly change your mind. There were parts I was laughing my arse off at and others where I just oggled the screen and said "Did they really just do/say that?!".

I'd watch it again though.

My brother-in-law played one scene for me on youtube and I died laughing. Tears coming from my eyes. It was the scene where he was with the realtor looking at houses. I guess the BIL said he saw the movie and the rest wasn't funny though

Okay, after one hour of watching it and only laughing twice I shut it off I really didn't care for it and I have a great sense of humor and love to make people laugh myself. This movie was awful!

I haven't seen the movie, but a friend bought me season one of The Ali G Show, which has the actor playing three different character (Borat, Ali G, the British rapper, and Bruno, the Austrian fashion guru). I love the show, although I prefer the Ali G character to Borat. You can youtube "Ali G" and see some clips .

I do still need to see the movie!

Some parts of the movie were downright stupid, others were actually funny. I have seen far worse ones.

AWK I agree with Jessie, it was awful! I have a pretty good sence of humor and I even checked my brain at the door and it was still horrible. I might have laughed about once or twice and then thought "wow that was a big waste of time" LOL!

No, not at all! I just thought the "whole" movie was pretty stupid and laughed a couple of times. My friend didn't stop talking about how funny it was so that's why I asked her if I could borrow it to see for myself. Actually, I was looking for a great laugh but I found it disappointing.............

Fair enough, it is like Monty Python, you either love it or hate it.
