Is that even possible?
no microchip reader is successful at locating and reading Snowy's chip
He was microchiped when he was 3 months old. The chip's location "was" in his neck area. Three years ago, the chip started moving away from that area, started heading south, on his sides, little by little. From time to time, as we re-checked on the chip for different reasons, we noticed that each time, it was a slight new place. Always was difficult to locate the chip. After passing the microchip reader around his body 3-4 times, we were able to locate and read the chip (in its slight new place). Now though, 10-15 tries with different microchip readers did not succeed at locating or reading the chip it is like it disappeared if that's possible. But for sure where in his body did the chip go. Passing the reader on every single part of Snowy carefully and quite the many times will make one wonder "where on earth is the chip"
I was advised to microchip Snowy again (after 7 years from being chipped for the first time @3 months old).
I am taking Snowy to get microchiped tomorrow since the old one is found no where in his body.
Did anyone had something similar happen to their dogs? No sign for the old chip? Or getting a second chip in?
