Not only that, the ad says small breed. I've seen some small Border Collies, but none that even come close to the size of a small breed.

Yep, Border Collies (and Corgis, or "Corigs" as written on the ad!) are medium breeds.

I think odds are this person doesn't need a dog. The differences in lifestyle needed to own a pug and a border collie are so vastly different it's basically like owning two animals of a different species.

If in six months she/he can't make a more solid decision in what kind of dog they want and by that point save up so they can afford to pay *something* for the right one either from a shelter, rescue, craigslist, or breeder then they really shouldn't have a dog.

I don't think I'd give a dog to a person who wants a "free" dog mutt or not.. A dog is costly and not free at all!

Uh, I believe she was referring to the craig lister who doesn't seem to care what breed they get as long as it's free and somewhat small. Not seeing where she said everyone should get a mutt.

As for the craig list add.........YIKES, hopefully nobody would entrust them with ANY dog, mutt or not!
