AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!! Cows!!!!!

I have had to chase so many roving cows up and down the drive, the roadway and back into the pasture this fall . . . . If I had been a vegetarian they would surely have cured me of it

Oh well, at least these are behind the fence where they belong . . . :D

I actually like cows. . .but it was scary when we lived in a free range and the bulls would fight right up against the house and bump up against it and I remember one bull had his way with someone's car right next to us. . .

Dont really care for cows though. Except these people up in the Yukon had like these mini cows that were kinda cute. They were only about 4' tall. I liked those.

At Charley's, the bulls are easier to handle than the cows . . . . Buddy liked to eat from my hands and OJ loves for me to scratch his noggin . . . kind of an odd feeling when you suddenly realize you're dealing with an animal that weighs over a ton and could suddenly crush you

Awww, how cute! Can cows be cute?! I do prefer the white with the brown spots, though, since that is where chocolate milk comes from :D

I wouldn't want to own a cow and I have no clue about breeds (except for 'usual' suspects: Angus, Hereford, and Charolais) but I do admire a pretty bovine. :D Anyone know which breed has a dark red front end turning to white hindquarters? The 'transition' area between the two colors looks like paint splatter...

There's a man down the road who has a Longhorn cow (along with some Angus, a Brahman and a couple of Herefords.) I've seen him working around his property with the Longhorn practically in his back pocket, so I'm guessing she's a bit of a pet - with a monster set of horns. Lol!

I don't mind cows, but I'm not to fond of Bulls. Got charged by one when I was around 12. Tried to sidestep it but it caught me right in my side and knocked the wind out of me.....Luckily, it didn't have horns and I was able to get up and jump the fence.....He was mad b/c we were trying to load him into a trailor.

Charley's cows are the ones that will charge you . . . the bulls will do pretty much whatever you ask them to - which is handy! But they all do whatever the dogs tell them to do, and they've learned it's much easier to do it for Bimmer, who is calm and easy with them, than to irritate me to the point that I get one of the Riot Grrrls . . . who never do anything nice and easy, lol!

Soooo... has anyone played the 'cow' game when traveling? Count the cows on 'your' side of the road (herds of 20 or more are just counted as 20); you can double your amount if you pass a church but all of your cows die if you pass a graveyard. It's an annoying game and great for aggravating whoever is driving!

I love cows. I'd like to have a mini one (or two) someday when I finally get a farm.

My favorite commercial is the one with the "Happy California Cows", they crack me up. :D

A bunch of us went to Snowshoe West Virginia a couple of years ago to go snowboarding. Anyway, on the way up there we passed a bunch of cow pastures. One of our friends (whose not too bright) asked how the cows manage to walk around the steep hills without falling.........

Well, I responded that cows in the mountains are bred to have 2 legs on one side of their bodies shorter, so they can stand up straight on the hills.....he actually believed that and asked "what if the cows are born with 4 legs the same size?" I said that they ship those down south......:lol-sign: Then he asked "so what if they turn around, won't they fall?" I said "yep, that's why you'll only see them traveling in one direction around the hills, they have to go in circles." He finally figured out we were just messing with him then........:D
