Wow, nice to know. I've always been interested in history of many exotic breeds like cane corso, I've also heard rumors that they, and many other mastiff breeds, could easily give pitbulls a run for their money, but I absolutely do NOT condone dog fighting.
thats pretty CYA style BS.
honestly guys are fascinated by violence but most aren't very honest about it. basically we'll stop to watch any fight whether it's two drunks in the street or a liddel/ortiz rematch. and even guys w/ no knowledge get drawn into what if, that's why spike has that cheesy deadliest warrior show.
first off, the only way a CC would be small enough to match w/ a "pitbull" is if it's a true runt. then it'd lack the health & vigor necessary for such activities.
FTR they have been matched in japan (where it is still legal), just like every other bull & mastiff breed. they have been tried against Tosas in japanese traditional and against other breeds in country & cajun rules matches. the breed as a whole has been found lacking in all three styles. so there is no need to what if.
a very few individuals have been really good at catching hogs & cattle but most tried have been nothing to write home about. I have been told the same thing about Personal Protection Sport, a few very exceptional ones but most are just there.
