A pomeranian. My very first dog was a pom-mix . . . Even then I knew I didn't want a pom, but it was the ONLY dog my dad approved of at the time and I really wanted a dog, so I went along with it. (Bad choices, I know. I was only eleven or so at the time, though.) She was a nice enough dog, but that's definitely not the breed for me. My eyes started aching every time I looked at her bugged out eyes.

Border Collie (as of now). They are just far too intense and high energy and I feel that at the stage of life I am in right now I could not offer them enough. That being said, if I ever get to move to my dream farm, I would have one again in a shot.

A sheltie. Ours was really yippy, and dumb as a post. She was nervous and snappy too. pretty as all get out though.

I'll never own another Dutch Shepherd. Ever.
I will second this to an extent. I will never own another Duke.lol (Dutch Shepard/Australian cattle dog cross) He's sooooo ver smart, so very active and just so very. As a first time dog owner differently not the best choice.

Trey? lol, love that boy but one is definitely enough.

But he's not the whole breed and I'd love another Nikki one day... Or Rosie.... since I've had three shelties, I guess that counts them out.

I guess a lab, then. That's the only breed I've had once and I really can't see me having another one. Just not my type of dog.

Australian Shepherd & Border Collies. I did some fostering and they were not my breed. I much prefer my couch potato

I've only had 4 breeds in 75 years .....GS/part wolf , Irish Setter , Boxer and Goldens . Of the 4 I'd never have another Setter or Boxer . I can't fault the Boxer ... I didn't do well by him . Considering my last over 50 years have been Goldens ( or 1/2 in Ollie's case ) guess you know where my heart lies !!

I think it all depends on the individual dog.

I'd have to have a real bad experience with a certain breed to not want another of the same.
