I agree with Bubbatd and bassetlover.
We will be here on Earth with the people we love and eventually we'll all die and go to heaven and be in heaven all together as a big family!
Its scary to think to think about death! But atleast we know we will be in Heaven and see the people we LOVE!!!!! And we will finally get to see God in person!!!

Life as we live it is Hell, we move on when we live life above what is expected. That is the gist of what I beleive, and that will do for now.

I like to think when I die I'll find my way to heaven and I'll see my grandparents, and the baby I lost will be there waiting for me, and with them will be my Pepper and Bojangos. I really hope anyway heaven is animal friendly! I just hate the thought of doing this over and over again until it's done right because I'm a slow learner!

I believe that if you follow Christ, you will go to heaven when you die. If not, you go to he!!. It doesn't matter how good you were or how bad you were. If you follow Christ you will go to heaven. Even if you were the best person on earth, if you didn't follow Christ, you go to he!!. That is just what I believe.

Rose's Gal...I have given so much thought to what you have said after attending 12 years at a Catholic school. I had a teacher that once said the same as you, that the key to heaven or eternal life is simply to believe in Jesus Christ and that is all it takes, no matter how good or bad. You ask for forgiveness and believe. That is an interesting outlook, but what about the thousands of people on the earth that live their whole life never knowing about Jesus or his teachings at all. Whether it be tribes in Africa or people of other religions...I can't imagine that they would all go to he11...especially having never been given the chance to believe. I am starting to believe that afterlife is in the eye of the beholder and it mutates so different people can relate in ways that apply to their own lives...so they can understand. I beleive the key is to believe that there is something greater than us and to realize that we all have a purpose. I agree with Renee about the energy thing...I am going to butcher this, but isn't there a law in physics that talks about how energy can never be destroyed, it can just move on and go into something else? That is a true scientific fact, is it not? Our bodies are filled with energy...where does it all go when we die if we know that it physically can not die or be destroyed? That is my question

I think that if you believe in Jesus Christ, and accept him as the one and only God, and do good on this earth, you will go to Heaven. If you do not believe in Jesus Christ as the one and only God, and do not do good on this earth, I believe you go to he\\.

Im a christian too but i find ONE flaw with my religion. Why must you folow jesus or go to he!! what if you never knew of a such thing. and also if there is mankind by the theory of the big bang what WILL happen when we die? I mean i dont think the big bang made a heaven.

The thing I never got about reincarnation is if I came back to Earth after I died, but I had no memory of the old me or my old life - how could that still be me??

I am a christian and what a lot of you are bringing up - the point of the people who never heard of Jesus Christ - how can they go to hell? is a big stumbling block for a lot of would-be christians. But the only answer I can give you is - it is not up to us to understand everything. I am sure God in his infinite wisdom, takes into account the people who never heard the gospel.

Good discussion on this thread!

I think if you believe in Jesus then you will be allowed into Heaven. Even if you do break some of the ten commandments, as long as you realize your mistakes. The ten commandments were made knowing we were only humans and we can not resist temptation all the time. I hope we go to heaven because I could not think of having to come back to Earth and not be together with my husband. He was the one that put me back on track after I had done many bad things which I regret and wish now that I had not done. I know now all I can do is learn from my mistakes and be a better person.

Would you truly need your husband if you came back on earth a better person with someone else who loves and forgives you?

well, i think you are only 1 animal in the entire life cycle, Example:
Human then you die, fish then you die,dog then you die,cat then you die, orangutang then you die, and so on and so on.i also think you get a new brain every time, and human is the first stage of the whole cycle.when you become an animal, you have all the memories from being human, but you can only tell it to your little animal friends.that is why animals cannot talk to humans :)

I know people of various religions---Catholic, Muslim, Lutheran....and I like them all equally, and view them as kind people. God loves everyone, and many good people never get the chance to know him as the one and only God. I think that maybe, in that case, God will bring them into Heaven. It's not like they're murderers or anything.

i do not think that you HAVE to believe in jesus to go to heaven ,whats been said by(dont remember who) that if you are a good person and lead a good life but dont believe in christ you go to he!! i dont think thats the answer. so if a rapist/murdered/peodaphile believes in jesus he gets to go to heaven but a charity fundraiser/all round good and kind person doesnt belive she/he goes to he!!. no i refuse to think that way.
im a catholic, dont attend church but i believe in god etc and i attended religious schools. my daughter is not catholic as is serge but i believe that if we all lead a life where we are kind considerate and caring then we go to heaven. if heaven was only for believers in god then i wouldnt want to go because there would be some nasty people up there

I think that if somebody has never ever heard the word, or they are incapable of understanding (little child, mentally handicaped, etc.) they will go to heaven anyways, just because they aren't capable of understanding (because if you've never heard of something, how can you understand it?).
