I dont know why but i beleive that when you die you are reborn into another person. Maybe someone the most oposite of you or someone the closest to you in personality but i think that you are reborn into like a baby about to be born. I dont know why because im a christian and i beleive in heaven but no matter how much i try i cant help but think about that somtimes. Anyone else think about what might hapen or where your soul may be if you die?

Ah !!! Sweet mysteries of life !!! There's a reason and I do believe there's plan for us. That's what makes life and death exciting !! Live life well and hope for the awards.

i never thought about it untill recently but i think i prefer the idea of going to heaven and being reunited with close friends and relatives, so i hope there isnt life after death as i would miss meeting up with my loved ones, i know that when the time comes ill be happy to go and see them again

If you think about the way the universe works, rebirth just seems to fit the patterns. The basic principle that matter can only be transformed, never destroyed. Living things die and others are reborn as a result. Every culture has archetypal legends of death and rebirth. And think about the things you just "know" sometimes, even though there is no logical reason - in this lifetime - for you to know them.

Everything gets recycled in the natural world - why not us?

But if you were in fact given another life to live out you probably wouldnt remeber anything from your own life. and i would also like to truly know theres a heaven because i love my family and the thought of being without them is very troublesome

If there was life on Earth after death, and we all forgot about our loved ones, then what would be the meaning of life. There would be no purpose. At least thats what I think.

At some point I believe we learn what we are here to learn and are given a choice of returning to help others to become enlightened or going on to another level of learning.

But, there must be a meaning to why we exist. I belive in a mixture of evolution and greater spirits, but are we the final step in mankind and do we need to do something special or are we simply a step in the whole process?

So, you've been to the restaurant at the end of the universe? I really want one of those improbability drives :D But according to Robert Anton Wilson the answer is 23.

Maybe that's why Bob Seger was complaining that he Feels Like a Number . . .

Here, Nedim: http://www.douglasadams.com/

You really should read the series that starts with The Hitchiker's Guide to the Universe. It will help put life's irritants into the right perspectives and help you to differentiate between the absurd things in life and the REALLY absurd things in life, which can really help you keep perspective when you realize that there are very few things in life that aren't absurd in some way ;)

Whether he knew it or not before he died Douglas Adams touched alot of people with his writings. From what I understand he was as excentric in his own life as his writings.
