I'm a dog collar addict which turned into a job for me. I think nothing of spending 50+ dollars on a collar, as long as it looks nice. Well, i took jersey to the vet for her annual check up & the vet had these samples of some fancy dental chews. She loved them SO MUCH that i ended up spending $30 on this little bag of what are essentially treats. I guess I just really love my dog.

A Coach dog collar. I'm too embarrassed to say how much! My husband thought I was nuts. I also just got her a memory-fiber dog bed to replace her crate. She loves it.

Um 90$+ canadian for a carrier bag that I used once, lol, but its not one of those designer bags, just a black mesh one that I needed for an outdoor event at the time.

Im cheap and none of my dogs have needed major medical surgery. So I would have to say Maggie Mays $20 rhinstone Issac Mizarahi leash. Actually everything of her's is Issac Mizarahi LMAO. I felt like she deserved it!

I haven't bought any extravagant things for her. Though I do plan on getting her a new $60 bed - that's as extravagant as I go. Her food costs about the same too. As much as I love collars, there's no point in getting her anything overly expensive and nice because you can barely see collars through her coat.

What haven't I bought? I think Ilsa's most expensive collar would have to be a beaded collar with REAL jade that I bought at the 2004 DPCA Nationals - the collar was called "De-Nile"... I think the style is called that because you must live in a state of de-nile after spending all that money!

Ronin has a very nice beaded collar too, but his most expensive collar was a gift from friends - it's from Italy - it's beautiful, soft black leather with gold plated bones and a gold-plated buckle. He hardly wears it because it was apparently about $250 before tax. (The reciept was still in the bag... yeek!) NO WAY I'm going to let that thing be ruined!

ohh. but as a family. i think the most expensive would have been paying for their plane tickets over here. 4 dogs and the cat cost us $1100. so many people have asked why we bothered bringing them to. why we didn't just rehome them

BD still has the same collar from the day I got him. Verde eats out of a pan that was missing its handle. They get treats and toys, but deprived on the bling bling.

I haven't ever bought anything extravagant.. Cider has a nylon collar and her daily fabric 12 dollar princess collar from petsmart..
I have picked out a bunch I like through, but I can't deal with 50+ USD to a collar for a girl and one for a boy possibly cause I see that being my downfall wanting matching boy and girl stuff...
If you asked my parents they'd consider endless dog classes at 160 a set extravagant though since we just keep training.

I guess we're cheap. Aside from necessities (a jumbo crate is pretty expensive!) we don't buy a lot of expensive leashes, collars or anything like that. I spend 50 a month for Gunnar to do agility. I did buy him a 2lb chuck roast for his birthday. :)
