You guys clearly don't have 32 inch 100 lb dogs :)

I drive a 07 tahoe, that i just got after driving my 98 tahoe. I love my Chevy's and the Tahoe's rock. I love the luxuries of the new Tahoe, but my old one did have more cargo space both with back seats up and down. I can fit 2 doberman sized crates in the new one, I could fit three in the old one.

We're usually in his VW GTI. We managed to fit three people and two dogs in that thing. If we're not driving that, we're in my Audi A4. The A4 is slightly more convenient since it has four doors instead of two. People seem to look at us like we're nuts, but we're car people, what can we say?

Without crates (bad I know) I can fit four or five dogs, two people and enough gear for a long weekend vacation with enough space left for the dogs to be able to stretch out.

Ive got an 06 Subarau Outback. It can fit pretty much everything in the back (I put the back seats down). I'm a bad owner cuz I let the dogs sit up in the front seat with me when I drive. I only have one dog trialing now, but I want to get a beat up minivan to use for trials only.

I have a car being customized at this time for trialing with the dogs.
It's a 1938 Plymouth Slantback 2 dr Sedan, chopped and cool!! A streetrod, running boards etc, its looks like a gangsters car.
The backseat area will have fold down seats, so I can put a few crates in it. Amazing amount of room, the truck can easily fit all the x-pens etc.
Combining two hobbies, classic cars/streetrods and playing with the dogs :D

i do not drive to agility trials or whatever, but, when we do go out we take our 1995 Chevy camero V-6 convertible fire engine red YA BABEY!! try fitting a 60 German Shepard lab mix, who is 5 1/2 months old, a lab whippet mix who is 7 months old, and my 13 year old son, my hubby and my big ol preggers butt WHOO WEE what a tight fit...

of course i have tried to talk my hubby out of the car, but, since we own it straight out ( paid off in 2 years @ 250 per month!! with a 2,500 down payment) sooo, it is kinda our baby!

Well, my dogs don't go in the '07 Prius, so they are stuck in the '06 Xterra. Sadly, it's getting smaller and we'll probably trade it in this year... this thread is funny because I was going to start one asking for help... three 90+ pound dogs... what can of car to get? :)

I drive a nice big, navy blue Chevy Silverado :)

Perfect for hauling any and ALL dog & horse equipment in :)

its actually awesome on gas - goes through a tank like a van would.. only catch is the tank is MASSIVE and costs me $80 easy to fill it from a quarter tank..

I have a '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have a love/hate relationship with it. It is a V8 AND full time 4 wheeldrive so it is a gas guzzler. On the other hand it IS a V8... In the future I do want to get another vehicle that is a bit better on gas, but I am still trying to narrow it down. I do still want to get an SUV though for hauling the monster (and future monsters) around.

Yeah, that was a close fit. Especially with Middie not understanding that he is not welcome on my lap or in Rumor's face. Especially not Rumor's face.

I have an Expedition. Terrible on gas, ugly, handles like a truck etc.. but it WILL fit as many dog crates as you want. I guess I've got to give it that. Probably as many people as you want, too. The last time we went on a trip we had five people seated comfortably... we folded the middle seats down and packed luggage in between, and stretched out. :D

Thanks, nothing huge and tubbed out :(, 318 and I don't know what is in it for a tranny, it has a Mustang 11 front clip for the front suspension (so it doesn't drive and ride like a tractor) and it has a Camaro rear end. I didn't want anything to big for a motor, I need it to be as Eco on fuel as possible. If I decide to take it halfway across the country to Nationals etc, I need to be able to afford too. And as I know you know, the more you tub them out, the more temperment it can be and I am NOT mechanically inclined, good thing my Hub is!! Plus I don't want to have it thrash too much, incase it bothered the dogs. It will be black with black tinted windows, dumped down low, about 3 inches off the ground, all the seams will be filled in to give that slick, smooth look, only chrome will be the side mirrors, no door handles, keyless entry, already have a cool set of chrome rims and low rubber for it. We had one before and it looks like it is going to chew you a new arse when it comes up behind you :D
Actually it is rare, there were only 1222 made, I searched for over 2 yrs for it and only found 5 world wide.
It would be on the road (not in winter) by now, but I have used all my money on Petie's vet bills this past year, so the car has to wait. Petie of course comes first, especially since his condition can effect his long term health and life expectancey. I have seriously considered selling it lately (there's a few guys around that have come with cash in hand, trying to buy it already), with me not working due to health issues of late, I need to get my hands on some cash for continued testing and treatment for Petie. Which is going to cost thousands according to my Vet. It's not like I don't have other cool classic rides to drive. Although I do prefer the more unusal and rare.........we had the '69 Stingray Vette, but hell their everywhere. It's like pulling into a car show.......dozens of Vettes and Mustangs..........gets boring after a while. Unless its a rare One Off etc.
I ll try and post a pic of the other one we had to give you an idea what it will look like.

Thanks
Lynn

Our dog car (and what will probably be my car when i start driving) is a '94 Toyota Landcruiser.

I don't like it much, it gets bleh gas mileage, but it fits 3 BC-sized crates in the back cargo area alone. Could fit 2 more crates if I fold the back seats down.

Oh, yah, Lynn . . . definitely need pics. :)

One of the most unique vehicles I ever saw for resto/customizing was an old Hudson delivery truck.
Those 30's Sedan Delivery's are soooooooooo cool, but also very very rare.
Really low numbers on those produced each year, low demand, but it also depends on the year. In many cases they only produced around a 100.

Pics soon promise.

Caitlin pretty well summed everything up. I was just gonna say I'm glad they both have leather. Cleaning muddy Rumor prints off leather is so much easier than trying to clean mud off cloth. :)

I had my Rav4 for 10 yrs. Only sold cuz there was a deal offered I couldn't refuse.
I just bought an 08 Honda Crv for less than what I paid for my Rav 10 yrs ago. (with help from a friend who made sure I paid under invoice)
I have the 2 GSD 70# and one is in a crate and the other on a dog pad w/the seats down of course. It gets 30ish miles on the freeway (there a gauge for that). I just put one those cargo pads over the back and keeps the car clean & free of dog hair.
