Oh people think I'm nuts for wanting a second dog. Including my family. Most insist that another dog would be replacing Izzie... Because there's no way you can have more than one dog without practically throwing away the first one.
I get a lot of "so what would happen to Izzie?" Or "poor Izzie is being dumped" or "can't you just be happy with the dog you have?"
It's tiring.

With a third dog on the way, Bear has been completely forgotten about and Pig is now being edged out, at least according to my parents. They have (jokingly) mentioned that Bear should go live with them in Myrtle Beach, so he could get the attention that he is so clearly lacking.

Feeding raw has raised eyebrows. We've been on a break from raw while I try to figure out a new feeding storage/preparation system though. I stopped by the asian market after work today to pick up the dogs' rabbit for tomorrow (easter tradition for them) and ended up buying a few other things as well. Oh, how I miss shopping for dog meats. My borderline creepy excitement about buying/finding meat is also seen as odd.
The fact that Pig has been in some form of class, if not multiple classes, pretty much from the time I got her. And yet she still barks. And is obnoxious. And walks on the table. Le gasp! What am I paying for?! How bad is my dog? Uhh...she's allowed to do all of those things that you, random person, have determined to be bad behaviors.
That Bear does not want to meet your veryfriendly dog. "He doesn't like dogs? But he's with your other dog." The idea that he can get along with Pig and yet not be okay with some rando getting in his face just escapes people.
I use my sleeve as a drool rag on occasion.
I have fully accepted the fact that my kitchen will never not have puddles.
My dogs are separated when not supervised. After all, isn't the only point of having two dogs so that they can keep each other company?
They almost never wear collars. Yet I have spent a significant amount of money on collars.
