I was walking home from my walk with Quinn just now and thinking about all the things she's learning atm and wondering what else you guys are teaching.
Quinn is currently learning to heal using Silvia Trkmans method, she's good at working out her position on my leg and can move in a circle, to the side, backwords and forward for one or two steps but I want better focus before I move on.
She's learning a new trick. Its pretty much play dead but the signal is me raising my hand at her. Its funny to look real threatening at her and have her go "YAY!!!" and throw herself on her back all happy. lol
I want to start some agility foundation stuff. Nothing too strenuous, just some fun race-to-reward games this week. Teaching her to go around a pole or through 2 buckets on the ground, I'm reading agility right from the start and getting games out of that. I was also doing some reading on running contacts last night because I don't know what I want to teach. Running sounds like more work but I'd love to have a go at it.
As for Buster, he learned to "spin" last week and now they can all do it. I always promised I would retire him when I got a new dog and stop annoying him, I think he's appreciating only being asked for the odd shaping session now.
So what is everyone else doing atm?
