Westminster to me was fairly perdictable. While it use to be a show I respected and marked my calendar for, its turned into one big political show. Basically the #1 dogs in each breed go up for breed, and if not something of "course" was wrong with breed judging. Groups is always perdicitble with: who has the best handler. I did think it was a awesome win for the akita and the bouv. BIS winner was not my cup of tea, but he also won Eukanuba in Dec. so again, fairly perdictiable.

As for Vivi, there are some breeds that will breed a dog before they are 2, beagles, pugs, bulldogs, even some ACDs to just name a few. And the people that do this are not some backyard puppymillers, they are well respected breeders who have some of the finest dogs in the country.

As for her being alive, I think there have been sightings, and somewhere in the net I think it was that she had been seen and looked liek she was nursing puppies. But who knows.

Actually, the papillon winner was quite the shocker. The number one dog didn't show at all and the one I would have predicted to win (simply based on name and past records got a AOM). Plus, the papillon winner was a Japanese import, which was kind of cool. The imports rarely win on the televised shows for some unknown reason.

Well, and then there's the fact he was Harold's uncle LOL. That made it nice and exciting.

But yes, highly predictable. Still think Fairchild should've won. :lol-sign:

I agree. Fairchild really "showed" . But she always does.

Oh well. I guess there is always next year to whine and moan about it LOL

hey hey hey, someone is supposed to notify me when spanking is involved.

*giggle*
Reminds me of Monty Python and the Holy Grail and the scene were all the young virgins need a good spanking and then some er, ah, favors. One of the other knights comes to save the guy and tells him he is in great peril, and he's like "But, I like peril!"

I was happy to see a LGD take a group placement a Kuvasz won..
But im really dying to see the Anatolian or the Neo take the group one day that would be the 1st for the working group.

Yes very political indeed.

i defiantly agree that the show was very predictable. but i also get tons of dog show magazines (dog news, show sight, etc) so i think i had more of a likely hood at being able to predict who was going to get it based on how well they have been doing.

i guessed correctly on EVERY dog that took group, and i had a hell of a feeling that the english springer would win best in show

SAme here rukus. If there is a dog show magazine to take or to pick up at shows, I have them lol.

I was in the same boat as you, perdicting every winner. I was surprised the English Setter ( Rock It) did NOT win the sporting group even. I have seen him show in person, and he is a gorgoues dog.
